Seoul Ghost Story confirms its cast of K-pop idols and promises to provide a terrifying horror movie on April 27!
Seoul Horror Story aims to recreate ghost stories popular with the younger generation and enter the theater area equipped with new and colorful tales to scarily engross the viewers.
In particular, Kim Do Yoon (Hellbound), Lee Yul Eum, Lee Young Jin (Between the Seasons), Lee Su Min (The Dude in Me), Oh Ryoong and Jung Won Chang (The Uncanny Counter, Her Private Life) will all make appearances.
Additionally, the film marks the screen debuts of Golden Child’s Bong Jaehyun, AleXa, WJSN’s Seol A and Exy, MONSTA X’s Shownu, Oh My Girl’s Arin and THE BOYZ’s Ju Haknyeon. They are joined by industry seniors BTOB Minhyuk and Lee Ho Won.
Various casts have garnered attention from the start of production. First, Lee Ho Won’s unusual transition between films, dramas, and musicals.
Then, Seo Ji Soo’s initial change from singer to actor and BTOB’s Lee Minhyuk, who made his screen debut in the film The Swordsman before joining the army, also underwent a drastic transformation.
Interestingly, Seoul Ghost Story will feature real horror elements discovered in ordinary life. It is in an omnibus format to maintain a sensation of fear long after the film has concluded.
Among these, there’s one episode of the film starring Lee Ho Won, under the tentative title Urban Myths: Tooth Worms. He was invited to the 25th Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, in July last year. He stars as the main lead, who is also known as singer Hoya.
Finally, director Hong Won Ki, who has directed more than 1,500 music videos and commercials, including BTS’ No More Dream, Taeyeon’s I, and Hwasa’s Twit, will helm the film.
Seoul Ghost Story premieres on April 27.
