Official photo stills of Sinkhole feature the disastrous and stimulating scenes from the tragedy film.
Starring Cha Seung Won, Kim Sung Kyun, Lee Kwang Soo, and Kwon So Hyun, Sinkhole confirms to drop on August 11.
Headed by the director of a disaster blockbuster, Tower, director Kim Ji Hoon raises expectations. He will be working with the producers of The Terror Live, another thriller and action masterpiece.
The director also expressed the message of the film to the viewers. “I agonized a lot to show people how to cope in it rather than the aspect of the disaster,” Kim Ji Hoon stated.
Sinkhole narrates the journey of survival of the trapped residents inside. The newly built villa unexpectedly collapsed to 500m underground.
The recent photo stills reveal the before and after of the incident. It showcases the clueless and horrified characters in their fight to survive.
Sinkhole gives birth to a new angle of disaster films. It adds a comical genre to lighten such a heavy story.

Leading the upcoming film is Cha Seung Won as a hardworking single dad. Portraying Jung Man Soo, he works on different part-time jobs. He ends up stuck in the hole together with other residents.
Cha Seung Won bagged many lead roles in dramas and films. He started his acting career in 1997 and slowly made himself known through his performance.
He starred in The Greatest Love, City Hall, You’re All Surrounded, A Korean Odyssey, and so on.
On his stills, he wears a whole grey sweatsuit and white sneakers. He stumbles and fell to the ground when he felt the ground move. Cha Seung Won also looked shocked at what’s about to happen.
Filling the second lead role of the film is Kim Sung Kyun. He turns into a passionate man, Park Dong Won. After 11 years, he finally purchases a house. Unexpectedly, his achievement crumbles down along with the building within a minute.
He first started in the film industry in 2012 Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time. Kim started to accept support roles in I Hear Your Voice and worked on popular drama series.
To name a few, he performed in Reply 1994, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and Hospital Playlist.
He wears a pinkish tone polo and light-colored pants. His newly bought house turned upside down, and the furniture and appliances are scattered.
Lastly, Lee Kwang Soo or known as “Prince Of Asia,” complete the main cast. He gives life and fun as Kim Seung Hyun, Dong Won’s supervisor.
The actor and entertainer never fail to showcase his acting and comedic skills. Recently, he left Running Man due to his broken ankle.
Kwang Soo also “left” his notable portrayals on It’s Okay, That’s Love, Descendants Of The Sun, and Hwarang.
With his formal attire, he also unexpectedly stuck on the 500m hole. His stills give a peek to the audience about the thrilling performance he will show.
Coming this August 11, the mega-sized Sinkhole opens on the big screen.
