Bang Minah Is The New “Seoul International Women’s Film Festival” PR Ambassador

The 24th Seoul International Women’s Film Festival has confirmed Bang Minah as the eighth ambassador ahead of the opening on August 25th.

Diligent and talented, Bang Minah has ventured into various roles across dramas, movies and musicals as she built a solid filmography. Accordingly, her most famous and lauded roles include Holly, Snowball, Beautiful Gongshim, My Absolute Boyfriend, Check Out The Event and more.

In particular, in Snowball, she took on the role of Lee Kang-yi, an 18-year-old high school student who sought answers to get better. Showing her immersion and acting skills, her performance earned her numerous nominations for Best New Actress.

She won the ‘Rising Asian Star Award’ at the 20th New York Asian Film Festival. Adding to that, she was hailed as the best rookie actress at the 22nd Female Filmmaker of the Year, and the 22nd Busan Film Critics Association Awards.

As the new PR ambassador, Bang Minah expressed feeling honored to represent the organization.

“I am very happy and honored to be able to represent women who are international filmmakers brimming with passion and potential. Because it is a film festival, I feel like my inner energy is already wriggling ahead of my promoting responsibilities. I hope that the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival will make its presence more firmly.”

Subsequently, Bang Minah will participate in the festival’s press conference and will also host the opening ceremony on August 25. Previous ambassadors include Kim Ah Joong, Han Ye Ri, Lee Young Jin, Kim Min Jung, Lee Le and Moon Ga Young.

The 24th Seoul International Women’s Film Festival will be held for 8 days from August 25 to September 1.
