iQiyi Magnifies Partnership With Dolby

iQiyi streaming experience levels up through the collaboration with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

The Asian entertainment streaming leader proudly announced a partnership with America-based audio and visual technology company Dolby. The new and exciting experience will be available in 191 countries. 

The Chinese online streaming platform launched in 2010. Since then, the streaming platform also promotes South-Asian series. In addition, they covered Miss Universe 2020 gave access to First Yaya and The World Between Us.

Moreover, iQiyi’s Vice-President of International Business, Kuek Yu-Chuang announced the partnership. “This marks a significant milestone for iQiyi as one of Dolby’s leading Asian international OTT partners.”

“As we grow our appeal internationally, and as home entertainment technology continually improves and becomes even more accessible. We want to delight our subscribers’ high expectations for quality entertainment – both in terms of content, as well as the viewing experience,” Yu-Chuang continued.

He also proudly shared the growing demand for Asian content globally. “iQiyi is proud to be the born-and-bred Asian platform to uplift the entertainment viewing experience of pan-Asian content for the global audience.”

On the other hand, Pankaj Kedia of the managing director of Dolby Laboratory shared his excitement. He stated, “Every year, consumers are demanding incredible entertainment brought to life in Dolby. This is why we are thrilled to see iQiyi including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as part of its international expansion efforts in South East Asia.”

He added, “With this integration, consumers with Dolby enabled TVs, mobile and tablets can enjoy a growing library of top-notch content from iQiyi in Dolby from the comfort of their home and on the go.”

Dolby Atmos transforms audio into a three-dimensional sound. Moreover, Dolby Vision provides a realistic experience with its 4k resolution.

This announcement follows the launch of Uni-Icon Entertainment, a joint-venture talent management agency to identify and promote Southeast Asian talent. It aims to give the region a foothold in one of the world’s best entertainment markets and turn them into household names.

iQiyi also recently showcased its Asian Romance Collection spotlighting seven SWEET ON Chinese Originals, as well as its first-ever Korean Original, My Roommate is a Gumiho.

The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang is first to be premiered through Dolby Atmos. Furthermore, iQiyi will release new content over the next month.
