Voice of Silence receives Cheval Noir Awards for Best Film and Best Actor at the 25th Fantasia International Film Festival.
Proving the film’s potential, Voice of Silence also obtained various nominations and awards at the 41st Blue Dragon Film Award and the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.
The movie depicts two men who unintentionally look after a kidnapped girl and become entangled in an unforeseen incident with her.
The Fantasia International Film Festival, now in its 25th year, is North America’s largest genre film festival. It also provides a diverse range of new works.
Voice of Silence is one of the nominees for the Cheval Noir Competition that took place on August 5. It further recognizes the workmanship not only in South Korea but throughout the world.
Besides that, Yoo Ah In’s performance as Tae-in was astounding, earning him the Best Actor awards in the above-mentioned respected Korean film awards.
Meanwhile, the critics praise Voice of Silence for its unpredictable and experimental story, which sets it apart from previous films. Then, they emphasize why actor Yoo Ah In received the award citing his perfectly expressed emotions without a single word. The non-verbal acting that he showed enhanced the film’s message and satisfies the judges.
