Sell Your Haunted House Episodes 5 & 6 Key Moments
Fulfilling a Mother’s Lifelong Wish for Her Daughter
Closing the case of an apartment ghost who was scammed when she only hoped to buy a house for her daughter out of her life savings was a heartening moment this week. Daebak Real Estate finds a way for the lady spirit to be happy by convincing the owner of the house to rent it to her daughter.
It also leaves a realization on Ji-a how her mom might have felt the same way. Unable to leave her in the house because of her unforeseen passing. While working on this case, Team Daebak also indirectly strikes on the construction company hounding Ji-a’s neighborhood for its planned redevelopment.
Two Ghost at Cheonha Building
After quelling a spiteful ghost haunting a building, Ji-a figures one more lurking at the sauna place. The ghost, a former tenant who opened a rooftop bakery was murdered by the wife of the building owner who manages the sauna.
Apparently, when the rooftop bakery became a hit, the building owner sees the opportunity and made an excuse of building renovation to make them leave the business. But then, they ride on the fame of the bakery and let their daughter manage it.
Learning the culprit to the lady’s death, Ji-a tells In-bum that they can’t bring justice without evidence. Utilizing their fraudster skills, they trick the building owner to open a space that his wife had covered up. They deduce the corpse of the previous tenant was there, and the building owner’s wife threw a fit confirming her evil deed.
Sell Your Haunted House Episodes 5 & 6 Musings
Episode 6 of Sell Your Haunted House ended on the scene where Ji-a and In-bum were taken by evil Do Hak-sung, chairman of Dohak Construction. Forcing Ji-a to sign the deed, he made In-bum a punching bag of his minions. In-bum’s uncle’s unrested spirit hounds Hak-sung, and was able to possess In-bum when his necklace was taken off from the beating. He easily subdued the men beating him and faces the boss who made him a criminal with his order to burn houses.
While Hwa-jung already knew of In-bum’s identity, Ji-a is yet to know how her fate is tangled to In-bum deeply and painfully. Her pain would definitely be as agonizing as how In-bum would feel since his primary goal is to unearth the mystery of his uncle’s death, who turned out to be the last exorcism that caused Ji-a’s mom to perish.
Without them realizing it as well, they have gone to understanding each other’s pain and were both accepting of their flaws. Understanding the cold facade Ji-a has worn because of her experiences in her unique job makes sense now even more. Likewise, In-bum’s scammer nature that keeps sneaking in is equally engrossing as how he wants to bring justice to the souls who took his body in passing.
This week’s featured stories of the series highlight emotionally stirring stories of people who had to depart after experiencing such excruciating anguish. If living people feel upset about things they can’t have, but still aspire to have – you can only imagine how tormenting it is for the souls with unachieved dreams.
Moving forward, let’s expect pivotal plot movement going to the second half of the series.
Sell Your Haunted House airs every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS 2TV.
