Different marriage perspectives arise between Ha-kyung and Si-woo in the recent episodes of Forecasting Love and Weather.

It also sheds light on Yu-jin’s break-up reason with Si-woo since he does not have a strong leaning toward the idea of a permanent relationship.

Forecasting Love and Weather

Forecasting Love and Weather Episode 9 and 10 Key Moments

Unknown to Ha-kyung and Si-woo, the relationship they are keeping a secret is already discovered by their ex-partners. Yu-jin does not believe it but Ki-jun who saw their evident intimacy is certain.

The next day he even confronts Ha-kyung, but she denies it. To ensure their secret is safe, their movie date gets a raincheck to avoid possibly bumping on Ki-jun. In lieu of their weekend plan, they go for a camping trip.

Unable to sleep the other night, Ki-jun goes to see Ha-kyung but spots her going out with Si-woo. Despite having a scheduled meeting with Yu-jin and his mom, he is keen to obtain evidence about his ex-girlfriend’s relationship. His covert tracking leads to his car being towed.

Unfortunately, while Ha-kyung and Si-woo are romantically in synch, the situation at work is not good. The rain predictions are not being met and Ha-kyung takes the blow as the new director.

Adding to her concerns is her mom’s continuous meddling. She also discovers that Ha-kyung let her teammates live in her house.

Meanwhile, Ki-jun remains bothered about Ha-kyung and Si-woo leading to his inadvertent neglect of Yu-jin.

“A small thing can change everything.”

While working on the information to be incorporated in the press release, Si-woo gets a subtle reminder from Ki-jun that Ha-kyung only dates a person she intends to marry.

Yu-jin also had a word with Ha-kyung after the press briefing and she reveals how Si-woo only wants perpetual dating.

Facing their emotional concerns head-on, Ha-kyung and Si-woo agree for a beer drink at home. She opens up about meeting Yu-jin and that she learned from her that Si-woo does not believe in marriage.

Si-woo confirms it to be true and explains his situation led him to believe that he does not want to burden someone he loves because of family ties. Wise and perceptive, Ha-kyung assures him that she understands his thoughts.

She also wonders where their relationship would head to after listening to his idea of how he does not think marriage is the end game between two people in love.

Feeling unsettled about learning each other’s marriage perspectives, both Si-woo and Ha-kyung consulted their ex-lovers and gain insightful information.

Ki-jun honestly reveals the realization of how love will never be enough for the things that need to be tackled as newlyweds. He also shares that sharing one requires patience and understanding as you get to know your partner’s flaws and personality deeply.

Yu-jin was also sought by Si-woo about her thoughts when he told her that he does not want to marry. Genuinely responding that it was quite bothering, she tells him how she strongly pondered his choice to be in a relationship that does not consider a future together.

“On such nights, we become lost in thought. When that happens, we end up having complicated feelings and that leads to more thoughts. And eventually, we become even more lost in thought.”

Meanwhile, Senior Forecaster Eom gets a happy chat with his daughter when she visited the headquarters for a field trip. He adorably glows reminiscing his day’s event to Si-woo.

It seems Ha-kyung’s mom’s only goal is to marry her daughter off. When she learned about Seok-ho’s status, she already made a mental plan of pairing him up with her daughter.

Her action again infuriates Ha-kyung, thus she makes a declaration that she won’t marry anymore.

Just as KMA people struggle with the tropical heat forecast, Myung-joo makes a rare mistake that Ha-kyung covered up. Failing to inform her boss earned her an earful for not being able to check on her team’s mistakes properly.

Given a deadline for a staff that needs to go to Jeju island to monitor the typhoon situation, Ha-kyung meets Si-woo to relay her decision to send him there.

Yu-jin also leaves the house for them to reflect on whether they will still continue being together.

Forecasting Love and Weather Episodes 9 and 10 Musings

I love how this week’s episode of Forecasting Love and Weather gave a different vibe to the love conflict presented in the story. It’s actually one of the strongest charms of the series. The characters are communicating to express their concerns, to compromise and to understand each other.

We were also served with two love lessons pertaining to the idea of dating. One with the intention to marry, the other refuses to commit to a marriage. Notably, both provide viable reasons since relationship choices have internal factors and personal experiences to consider.

Interestingly, the conflicting views of our main leads are hitting a “change of heart” stage because of the inadvertent enlightening situations they had from people around them.

Through Myung-joo’s life, Ha-kyung got a convincing pitch supporting Si-woo’s early confession on why he does not want to get married. Meanwhile, Senior Forecaster Um shared happily how having a family is the best reason for living.

However, it seems Si-woo is taking his Jeju assignment as a sign of Ha-kyung’s disappointment about their differing marriage convictions. On that note, we hope Ha-kyung’s decision not to marry is just a temporary emotional surge.

Struggling to keep their marriage on a harmonious level, Ki-jun and Yu-jin really need more time apart. While they religiously interact with their grievances, they have serious problems jumping to conclusions and reacting negatively before assessing their concerns.

Can Ha-kyung and Si-woo end up being each other’s future? Will Ki-jun and Yu-jin find a way to keep their marriage afloat?
