“He came back to take revenge.”
Returning to his hometown to give justice to Eun Gye-young, Eun Gye-hoon shocks the whole Jihwa-dong as he finally reveals his identity. With that, everyone who witnessed his sister’s disappearance became uneasy as Gye-hoon eyes all of them as one of his sister’s abductors.
Twenty years ago, a shaman named Han Sun-nyeo foretells that the criminal is within the people of Jihwa-dong. This gives Gye-hoon hope that his sister’s mysterious disappearance will soon be unveiled.
Furthermore, Noh Da-hyun’s mother and grandmother find out that Lee Jin-geun’s sister is Lee Eun-jung. She arrived in Jihwa-dong to find his brother and also to catch who is responsible for his disappearance.
“It would’ve been better had the kid’s family and school taken better care of her. Don’t you agree?”
Even though Gye-hoon’s presence made everyone anxious, the town and its people made him recall the days he blames himself for Gye-young’s incident. His mother who became mentally sick unconsciously accuses him over the last twenty years which made his heart numb.
Furthermore, Da-hyun saw and realize the weight of Gye-hoon’s problems that he doesn’t realize. This time, she cooked for him to make him feel better and also talks about Gye-hoon’s feelings.
With that, he finally shares that he can feel Da-hyun’s feelings and that he can feel her sadness which made him cry. Unknowingly, Gye-hoon finally shed his own tears and let out the pain he’s been holding in for so long.
“In any case, there’s one thing I know for sure. After crying and laughing together last night… we bonded even more.”
After spending time and getting to know Gye-hoon better, Da-hyun’s feelings toward him continue to confuse her. Despite telling her that he won’t show concern towards her, Gye-hoon’s actions made mixed signals that sparks romantic feelings inside Da-hyun’s heart.
As the two remove the walls from their hearts and became vulnerable to each other, this made Da-hyun feel that they became closer. However, Gye-hoon starts to avoid her which again, made her emotions more confusing.
“I’m getting discharged today. I’m going to go see you. Wait there.”
Fear adds to Da-hyun’s chaotic feelings as Lee Jin-geun confirms that he is alive. He is confined and was in a coma before contacting Da-hyun on her social media account.
He’s been spamming different tones of messages to her that also shows that Jin-geun is mentally challenged. Even though he is been confined in the hospital, Jin-geun knows Da-hyun’s new friends and the activities she’s been doing.
He went straight to Gye-hoon’s restaurant after his discharge and made remarks about the night he almost died.
