Jin Jung bravely opts to become a prosecutor on the run to clear his name as a murder suspect in the 5th episode of Bad Prosecutor.
But it’s not easy as it seems because the man he is looking for either holds immense power or is backed up by one.

Bad Prosecutor Episode 5 Highlights
As soon as Prosecutor Kim secures the District Head Prosecutor position, Jin Jung is marked as the culprit in Prosecutor Lee’s case.
“I don’t know who wrote the script, but someone put Jin Jung as the leading man.”
Serving the immediate warrant Do-hwan ran down the evidence against him. Determined to find out who is pulling the strings to frame him, Jin Jung tips his investigator Chul-ki to bring ox-bone soup the next day for breakfast. Understanding his instruction, Chul-ki hides a handcuff key.
Escaping the detention room, Jin Jung is supposed to meet Chul-ki, but Do-hwan beats him to it. A-ra tries to track Jin Jung to no avail so she gets through Eun-ji and Joong-do who are both not aware of what’s happening.
At that moment, Jin Jung is inside Do-hwan’s car but the latter’s men were alerted. Jin Jung leaves Do-hwan after his car tumbled down and seeks a night stay at Prosecutor Park’s place. Later, he alerts A-ra that he is safe and gets a tip that his two reliable friends were not taken so he can ask them for help.
Making him promise not to get caught as everyone including her was asked to chase after him, Jin Jung promised he will hide well.
The next day, while having a ramyun breakfast with Prosecutor Park, they discuss the oddity of the meth substance found in Prosecutor Lee. Deducing the culprit wanted information from his deceased senior, Jin Jung still did not listen to Prosecutor Park to let go of the case.
Finding a lead on the drug dealer, Jin Jung secured the client list and meets A-ra to help with the investigation. But Do-hwan tailed A-ra and had his men chase after him. Almost escaping the police officers, Jin Jung gets suddenly attacked.
Bad Prosecutor Episode 5 Musings
Doh Kyung Soo is redefining the meaning of action star in Bad Prosecutor. He is highly entertaining in the way he blends the humor and seriousness of his character as a prosecutor into such an engrossing state. Driving a hero-centric story perfectly fits him, and drawing a romantic line in the series is not even needed anymore.
At the rate the story is going, we can assume that the initial conflict presented is also the culminating conflict. That is Jin Jung’s farfetched mission to obliterate the corruption in the prosecutor’s office.
On the horizon, he is not only set to battle wits against Do-hwan and Prosecutor Lee, the Seo father and son are also daunting in their calm execution of wickedness.
Thankfully, he still has reliable allies that aid in his missions and craziness. With a maverick focal character and his interactions in the story; it’s also easy to overlook the odd beats of the chapter closures, so far.
Can Jin Jung survive the stab and proceed to free himself from his ludicrous situation?
