Bad Prosecutor Final Episode Highlights

Cornering Seo Hyun-kyu, Jin Jung, and Oh Do-hwan, unfortunately, were a step too late to the trap set by the villain. About to be drowned in a pool of water, they work together to free themselves.

To secure an arrest warrant, they use CEO Seo’s secretary who taught he had led Jung and Ara to a decoy truck that holds the documents from CEO Seo’s archive.

Preparing backup plans, they had Joong-do ride the truck and place a tracker on him.

“Evil can’t beat what’s right. Immorality can’t beat justice.”

Served with a murder case and other counts of lawlessness; CEO Seo defends himself. Amidst the pieces of evidence and invited witnesses, the seasoned lawyer easily dismissed the arguments of the prosecution.

Expecting Oh Do-hwan as the last trick on Jung’s sleeve, he gets surprised to see Prosecutor Park Jae-kyung alive. Fortunately, Jung secured the evidence by handing it to Do-hwan thinking it will be taken away by CEO Seo’s men. With strong testimony and evidence: CEO Seo lost the case.

Bad Prosecutor Series Highlights

Cleverly-Projected Crime Story

Swiftly paced, the unswerving storyline of Bad Prosecutor locks the bulk of its engrossing value. Interestingly, the lack of fillers and romantic lines emphasized how crime and law series benefit from sticking with the core essence of exploring its premise. Ergo, it strengthened the relevance of the messages relayed in the story.

Moreover, staying true to its direction with room for character growth is a commendable feat for its dozen-episode run. Opting for a not-so-elaborate plot but a flowing one led the viewers to wage commitment in seeing through its end.

Doh Kyung Soo

Manifesting his ability to carry the focal character’s story featured in Bad Prosecutor, EXO’s D.O decks another genre that he can well navigate in the future. The delightful showcase of his knack for comedy was a gift all throughout the series.

Bad Prosecutor Series Musings

A refreshing twist to the usually serious tone of legal Korean dramas, Bad Prosecutor appeals through its straightforward approach to presenting the conflict and the process of resolving it.

Glossed with kickers, it made the plain sailing plot exciting. Ultimately, the message of making a difference in any organization plagued with corruption is one of the best takeaways in the series. People should still push for what is right and have faith in fair play.

In a span of 12 episodes, the series achieved fetching character stories with engrossing portrayals. From Do-hwan’s textbook “changed for the better” character to Jin Jung’s consistently stubborn yet adorable convictions in rounding up lawbreakers; Bad Prosecutor ensured to deploy the characters well.

A noticeable drawback in the series though is the lackluster ending which is somewhat expected given the duration set for the story. It felt like the courtroom showdown was not half as exciting as the sprint to reach that state.

Nevertheless, the happy ending for the hero who avenged his father’s death and eradicated depravity negated the mediocrely done problem fix.
