Squid Game Season 2 is going all out with its announced superb cast and fans are in for a treat!
Previously, the hit Netflix series revealed returning and new characters in a teaser video.
The series announced that stars Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo will all be returning for Season 2.
Raising excitement, the already top-tier cast will be joined by bankable actors Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon and Yang Dong Geun.
Lee Jung Jae, who won the Best Actor Award at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards for Season 1 of Squid Game, returns to the role of Seong Gi-hoon.
Next Lee Byung Hun, who made a lasting impression in season 1 with his charismatic presence also reprises his role as Frontman. Wi Ha Joon, who plays Hwang Jun-Ho, who jumped into a mysterious survival game to reveal his brother’s secret, also joins Squid Game Season 2.
Along with this, the mysterious ticket man Gong Yoo, who invited the participants to a mysterious survival game with a ticket, also raises expectations with his appearance in the second season.
Correspondingly, Netflix rolls out additional cast members to join the eagerly-awaited drama.
Park Gyu Young, Jo Yu Ri, Kang Ae Sim, David Lee, Lee Jin Wook, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, and Won Ji An are all set to be part of the cast ensemble.
Marking her third Netflix drama after Sweet Home and Celebrity, Park Gyu Young seals her role in Squid Game Season 2. Jo Yuri from IZ*ONE and Kang Ae Sim from Move To Heaven and Be Melodramatic also secure their characters.
David Lee (Law School) reunites with Director Hwang Dong Hyuk and Lee Jung Jae after working in Svaha: The Sixth Finger and The Fortress.
Loved by drama fans for his dramas Voice 2 and 3, Bulgasal: The Immortal Souls, Discovery of Love and more; Lee Jin Wook bolsters the cast further.
Next, Choi Seung Hyun (TOP) from BIGBANG who appeared in the films Tazza: The Hidden Card and Commitment; and Roh Jae Won, who imprinted his name on the public through good performances in the films Ditto and Missing Yoon also takes respective roles in the series.
Rounding up the cast is rising actress Won Ji An who previously appeared in D.P. and currently stars in Heartbeat.
The main cast gathered together for the first time at the first script reading session to begin the full-fledged journey of the second season.
Squid Game Season 2 is scheduled to start filming in the second half of this year.
