Working hard not to waste the fortune of money she spent because of love revenge, Lin Wo encounters a hitch. Fortunately, she has Gao Shan to back her up as he also needs her help to earn trust to the manager he wants to impress.
Meanwhile, Nana has truly gotten Su Yuan’s attention. But Gao Shan, the man she wants to date, is focused on his revenge plan; all the while subconsciously caring for Lin Wo.

“Should I open the door or not?”
While Gao Shan work hard to get close to Director Wan, the situation at Fangda is getting bleaker. Lin Wo tries to get in touch with their clients to no avail.
Resorting to selling the not needed office furniture, she inevitably meets Gao Shan again. They deliver the furniture to his house. In the cusp of discovering his wall of revenge plan, Gao Shan stops her. But when Nana arrives, he forces her to help out in warding her off.
However, friendship is thicker between the girls and no boy can break it apart. Later, Lin Wo calls a man and asks him to remove his tail on her. The man tells her that he can resolve all her problems, but she strongly refused.
At Fangda, a client working at Xinnan Energy causes trouble.
“I think you have two options now. Sell the shares or close for good.”
Struggling to resolve the pressing concerns at her company, Nana advises her to just sell the shares or close for good. Hearing her friend resolved to keeping Fangda, Nana wonders why she is taking the hard route when she obviously has not experienced it before. Seeing it did not make Lin Wo happy, she promises to help out with the investors to appease her.
Sharing her current problem with the manpower they sent at Xinnan Energy, Nana tells her that Most Sky is helping the company go public. Lin-wo reveals that the company has been making impossible clauses in the employment contract for the managers secured by Yaofeng. The latter of course did not bother to help the employees when they asked for help.
Nana is perplexed why she volunteered to help when her ex-boyfriend even gave up. Telling her not to meddle since she does not have experiences about handling such cases before, Lin Wo still insists on taking responsibility.
The day Lin Wo and Deng Li visit Xinnan Energy coincides with Gao Shan and Su Yuan’s visit. Unfortunately, there was a ruckus in the production floor which hurt Lin Wo. After rushing her to the hospital, Su Yuan and Gao Shan earn the ire of their superiors for overlooking the issue with Xinnan Energy.
It further hypes their internal team problem just as their competition with Manager Sun Li’s team also escalates.
“I’m not that virtuous to repay enmity with kindness.”
Revealing Manager Sun Li’s team incited the ruckus at Xinnan Energy, Su Yuan gets furious on their quenchless greed and wants to reveal it. But Gao Shan hushes him since there’s no evidence they paid the employee to cause trouble.
Instead, Gao Shan wants to deal with it heads on starting with a visit to the patients. Unhappy to see her visitor, Lin Wo tells Gao Shan to leave. Learning someone will visit them to investigate, he asked if they could clear the issue as a misunderstanding.
Taking advantage of his offer and while brewing a furtive revenge, she requested instead for Gao Shan to help out with an investment proposal for Fangda. Diligently working to secure investment and clients, Gao Shan questions Lin Wo’s actions thinking she bought the company only for revenge. But Lin Wo corrects him that Fangda is expensive and she bought it through her hard-earned money.
Handing her a paper bag, Gao Shan orders Lin Wo to wear it so they can go back to the hospital. Meeting the reporters, Gao Shan’s foresight that she will play it safe and not mention the employees impressed Su Yuan.
Just as Lin Wo receives a call that the troublemaker employee was bought off by Xinnan leaving the employees without a bargaining chip to seek reasonable compensation.
“I never waste my time on losers. It’s not worth it.”
Marching to where Gao Shan lives, Lin Wo confronts him of diverting her attention. Brutally honest, Gao Shan explained that it was Xinnan’s decision which was backed up by Nana. He proposes a collaboration to cause a problem with Xinnan after learning of defective spare parts the company plans to sell overseas.
In turn it will cause trouble to Manager Sun Li’s team which he wants to trouble for stealing their project. Likewise, it will also please Manager Wan with whom he wants to impress.
All Gao Shan planned went on smoothly making their team happy. He has also gained Manager Wan’s trust and to cap it off the arrogant employee from Team B who instigated the initial problem was fired. As promised for the help he got from Nana, they go out for a date.
Offering him to just work at Dinghe with her, he refuses and again bluntly tells her that they are not suitable for each other. Nana bumps on Su Yuan who was with his stuck-up girlfriend. The latter remembers her as the girl who mesmerized him last time and went on to chase after her.
Offering her a ride, he tells Nana to take responsibility for breaking up with his girlfriend, but she just ignored him.
“Gao Shan, come with us, too.”
Clinching a new prominent client, Fangda was approached to help poach Manager Wan Jiahe. Feeling a bit cautious, Deng Li reminds his boss that the project can help save the company if they take it.
She reveals Manager Wan is someone who is rigid and loyal, hence, it will be a far fetched dream. She will also most likely meet Gao Shan and the idea irks her. Left with not much option, she goes to Shenzhen with broken-hearted Nana she can’t leave and Deng Li.
Smartly dress up to strike a conversation, Lin Wo gets encouragement from Deng Li as she goes to hunt Manager Wan. Meanwhile, Team Most Sky has also wrapped up their schedule for Letian project at Shenzhen and was offered to have a hearty meal for their hard work.

Let’s first savor this sweet moment from Gao Shan and Lin Wo in episode 4 of You Complete Me.
Lin Wo is the first head-hunter I met in dramaland. While I know the concept of the job in real life, this element adds interest in moulding the characters to the narrative.
You Complete Me gravitates to me well because of my penchant for workplace dramas. Discovering different career worlds is one of the joys I get in watching TV series. As I am not rushing in the romance drive, it is interesting to learn about the worlds of head-hunters and investment managers.
Taking us to a workplace dispute that introduced the roles of a head-hunting company, we can make an inference that You Complete Me will provide glimpses of other career worlds involving investment and head-hunting.
That leads to another convincing nudge on why this series has to be on your watch list. Especially if you prefer an office set drama that capitalizes on romance at equal level with its narrative.
Let’s hope Manager Wan’s illness is not something serious and that Nana finds the sincerity of true love with what Su Yuan might probably offer.
