Adding to the exciting and engrossing Korean series roster on Netflix are highly anticipated new dramas this month!

January 2024 Korean dramas on Netflix feature the concluding part of Gyeongseong Creature, and the small screen comebacks of well-loved actors Kim Hyun Joo, Jo Jung Suk, Shin Se Kyung, Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik.

On January 5, Gyeongseong Creature continues the story of an entrepreneur and a sleuth fighting for survival and facing a monster born out of human greed in Seoul’s grim era under colonial rule.

Come January 21, Captivating the King starring Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung makes its premiere. The series chronicles the cruel fate of King Lee In who is high-ranking but despondent, and Kang Hee-soo who dreamed of revenge but fell in love with him.

Director Jo Nam-kuk, who was recognized for his solid directing skills through dramas such as The Good Detective and The Untouchables, and writer Kim Seon-deok, who started the legend of a well-made historical drama for tvN with The Crowned Clown collaborated for the series.


Adding to the robust portfolio of genre master Yeon Sang Ho, The Bequeathed depicts the story of a series of ominous events that occur when a person inherits a mountain left behind after the death of his uncle, whom he had forgotten even existed, and secrets related to it are revealed.


Continuing its healing drama parade, the eagerly-awaited JTBC series is set to decorate the weekend with refreshing vibe.

Doctor Slump threads on the story of two rivals who were reunited in the darkest period of their lives. In the process, they become each other’s light bringing excitement, laughter, and warm solace.

In charge of the production is Director Oh Hyun Jong (The One and Only, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) and Writer Baek Sun Woo of My Roommate Is A Gumiho and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim fame.

Portraying the role of Yeo Jung-woo, a star plastic surgeon who falls into the worst slump of his life is Park Hyung Sik. Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye plays the character Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome.
