Prepare For Geek Detective Lee Min Ki In K-Series “Crash”

Crash

Defining chic geek, the hero of ENA’s new Monday-Tuesday series, Lee Min Ki, is fashioned to snipe viewers’ hearts!

When a sub-unit within the police force is shunned by everyone and reports to no one, the team needs to work tirelessly to prove their superiority and save the day in Crash.

Repeatedly ignored by the rest of the force and considered a joke by many, the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) Team has long suffered in obscurity. But when a genius new team member joins the team, their fortunes begin to change.

A top mathematician with impeccable looks and next to no social skills, Cha Yeon-ho (Lee Min Ki) is the team’s newbie helping to turn things around. With his ability to simulate the exact cause of an accident using only the facts and his impressive cognitive abilities, Yeonho rapidly puts the team on the map. Still, when an incident from his past comes back to haunt him, Yeon-ho could once again cause TCI to fall from grace.

In the released stills, just looking at Yeon-ho’s styling – from the bangs that look like a ruler, buttons all the way to the neck, a tie tied tightly without a hole to breathe, and even the glasses that would be worn by someone who stays at home or in the library and just reads and studies. Yeon-ho’s nerd vibe is adorably evident.

The fact that Cha Yeon-ho is a ‘harmless human being’ to anyone is also the biggest charm that Lee Min Ki chose. There are times when he gets the heads of high-ranking people with his sharp remarks that come from a lack of insight and social skills, but he just analyzes clues helpful to TCI and has no particular interest in other people.

Although he is a man with such a harmless nerdiness, he looks chic and cool when he flashes his eyes intensely at a crime scene or when he makes mathematical calculations using technical terms such as coefficient of friction, speed marks, and vehicle speed. The nerd culture, which focuses on a specific field and does not pay attention to the opinions of others, combines with unique fashion and taste to give off the charm of ‘geek chic’.
