Welcome back Gong Myung!
On December 14, 2021, Gong Myung enlisted as an active-duty soldier. He is back to continue his work as an actor after faithfully completing his military service for about 1 year and 6 months.
Through his agency, the actor expresses his thoughts about his military service experience.
“The military service period was a time when I could become more mature. As an actor, I will greet you with a good work and a good image. Thank you so much to the fans who have been waiting for me. I love you.“
Saram Entertainment CEO Lee So-young also relays Gong Myung’s future activities.

Gong Myung steadily showed his presence in the works he filmed before his enlistment was released during his military service.
In the movie Hansan: Rise Dragon, which drew 7.26 million viewers last summer, he played the role of Lee Eok-gi, a loyal colleague of Park Hae Il (Yi Soon-shin).
Then, in the film Killing Romance, which was released last April, he played Kim Bum-woo, a member of Honey Lee’s fan club, and was loved by the audience for his unique pure charm.
In addition, in October of last year, in the Netflix movie 20th Century Girl, he made a special appearance as Kim Yoo-jung’s (Nabora)’s first blind date Jung Woon-ho, showcasing his various charming sides.
Aside from this, Gong Myung has continuously challenged characters to make his acting portfolio robust. He is known for works including Extreme Job, Recipe for Happiness, Lovers of the Red Sky, Drinking Solo, and Be Melodramatic to name a few.
