Mok-ha’s dream is highlighted in the poster unveiled by Castaway Diva.
Castaway Diva narrates the story of Mok-ha, a woman who dreams of becoming a diva but gets stranded on an uninhabited island.
Backed up by Baram Pictures and Kakao Entertainment, the series also boasts a brilliant creative team. Leading the production is Director Oh Choong Hwan of Big Mouth and Hotel Del Luna fame. Penning the script is Park Hye Ryun who wrote heartwarming and inspiring dramas such as Dream High and Pinocchio.
Director Oh and Writer Park previously worked on hit dramas Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping.
Playing the focal character, Park Eun Bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) portrays Seo Mok-ha. Rescued after 15 years from a deserted island, she fills her day with determination in an unfamiliar world and people. She hopes to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer.
The stills and poster released today give a glimpse into the daily life and dreams of the character Seo Mok-ha, played by Park Eun Bin.
In the photos, Mok-ha is building a life of her own after landing on a deserted island in an unanticipated accident. She honed her lung capacity and stamina by swimming in the sea, and her fingertips were sharp enough to use trash washed up by the waves as daily necessities. Using torn nets and shells as fashion items shows her frugality.
At first glance, she seems to have adapted perfectly to the deserted island, but Mok-ha still harbors hopes of becoming a diva like the singer she admires, Yun Ran-ju (played by Kim Hyo Jin).
Curiosity is focused on the story of why Seo Mok-ha ended up on a deserted island and why she had to become a singer.
In particular, the phrase ‘A story to save your dream from being pushed away’ and Seo Mok-ha’s sparkling eyes in the released poster pique interest in her future. She stands like a lighthouse in the sea, and viewers can look forward to seeing whether she can become a beacon of hope for those trapped on their own uninhabited islands.
Castaway Diva premieres on October 28 on tvN. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
