“Hellbound” Hypes Attention With Released Occult And Thrilling Character Posters

Yoo Ah In, Kim Hyun Joo, Park Jung Min, Won Jin Ah, and Yang Ik Jun are ready to welcome the “New World” in Netflix’s Hellbound.

Arriving this 19th of November, Director Yeon Sang Ho’s webcomic Hellbound comes to life through the streaming giant Netflix. The well-known director, who directed Train To Busan and Peninsula, is also ready to bring viewers a “New World” in the film and series industry.

It chronicles a phenomenon where a terrifying death angel appears and reveals one’s remaining days until their death. It brings fear and chaos, transforming the world into a living hell.

Furthermore, Director Yeon previously remarked that he deliberately cast actors who are matched with the characters. “The roles of the actors in this work were absolute,” heightening the expectations with the performances of actors.

Amazing viewers with his impeccable roles, Yoo Ah In is known for his performances in Burning, Chicago Typewriter, #ALIVE, Voice of Silence and more. With this, the Director shared, “I had actor Yoo Ah In in mind from the beginning.”

He will be portraying the head of the religious group, New Truth. The actor’s role gained attention with its unique personality as a mysterious, calm, yet intense character. 

On the other hand, the director also shared his thoughts on casting actress Kim Hyun Joo as Min Hye Jin. He revealed, “Kim Hyun Joo, who has built trust in the public, has completed the image that was essential to Min Hye Jin.” 

The actress will transform into a lawyer who defends the followers of the New Truth. Kim Hyun Joo is known for her portrayal in WATCHER, Undercover, and I Have A Lover

Hellbound

Award-winning actor Park Jeong Min (Entourage, You’re All Surrounded) is praised for his performance by Director Yeon Sang Ho. He describes the actor with his “power to attract the audience.” 

He will be playing Bae Young Jae, a program director who seeks the truth behind the religious group. His wife, Song So Hyun comes alive through actress Won Jin Ah. 

Also, the actress reveals why she accepted the role. Won Jin Ah stated, “I wondered what the philosophical meaning of the drama would be with just the word “hell.” While reading the script, I felt the power of being sucked into the story.”

Lastly, actor Yang Ik Jun expressed himself for accepting Director Sang Ho’s invitation. “I feel proud as an actor who joined Yeon Sang Ho’s unique worldview,” putting his trust in the director’s craft. 

He will be performing as a detective, Jin Kyung Hoon, who investigate the cases since the phenomenon occurred. 

Hellbound welcomes us into the New World starting this November 19 on Netflix!
