Im Soo Hyang and Ji Hyun Woo To Headline KBS 2TV’s New Weekend Drama

The lead stars are poised to continue the network’s popular weekend time slot.

Scheduled to air for the first time in March, Beauty and the Devoted tells the story of a top actress who falls rock bottom overnight and a rookie drama producer who loves her and helps her get up from that slump.

First, Im Soo Hyang plays the role of Park Do-ra, a top actress who was taken by her mother when she was young and has built up her filmography through hardships since she was a child.

Do-ra is a person who worked as an actress for 15 years and took care of her family as the breadwinner. Ji Hyun Woo plays the role of Go Pil-seung, a feisty novice drama producer with a wild dream of success. He is sturdy and kind-hearted, so he has no hesitation in flattering people when necessary. For him, love and dating are not the top priorities in his life, but he gets caught up in a confusing incident when he becomes involved with Do-ra on the set of his drama.

Beauty and the Devoted is a collaboration between writer Kim Sa-kyung, who wrote the hugely popular Young Lady and Gentleman, My Only One, and Blow Breeze. This is the second collaboration between director Hong Seok-gu, who directed My Only One, Girl’s Generation 1979, and Homemade Love Story.
