Setting a mysterious ambiance, Jirisan taunts a riveting and death-defying experience as Gianna Jun and Ju Ji Hoon transform as valiant mountain rangers.
Upcoming mystery and thriller drama, Jirisan recently unveiled its official teaser. Captivating through its unique plot, the viewers can anticipate the highly-anticipated series as notable media practitioners unite.
Jirisan follows an experienced national park ranger Seo Yi Kang (Gianna Jun), and rookie ranger Kang Hyun Jo (Ju Ji Hoon). They work at the Jirisan National Park to search and rescue trekkers.
They then found out that the place holds mysteries of a murderer hiding through the forest.
The recent teaser first introduces Gianna Jun portraying Seo Yi Kang as a vibrant and whimsical character. However, the mood starts to become heavier as scenes of blood and thrill flash through the screen.
Gianna Jun also evokes fear as she starts recognizing a cryptic concern, “We were not the only ones on the mountain! Someone murdered people!”
On the other hand, Writer Kim Eun Hee (Kingdom) describes the series as a “drama series that saves people.” Jirisan aims to be a platform to showcase the foreboding stories of rangers to protect nature and people.
Moreover, the teaser also unveiled familiar faces of lauded character actors besides Gianna Jun and Ju Ji Hoon. Sung Dong-Il (Reply 1988, The Cursed) will also take the lead role as Jo Dae Jin.
He is also an experienced mountain ranger and is the head of the Jirisan National Park office. Oh Jung Se (When The Camellia Blooms) also transforms into a ranger as Jung Goo Young, who balances his work and vacation days.
Known actors are also set to complete the string of supporting characters. Jo Han Chul (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) takes the role of a mountain ranger team leader.
Jun Suk Ho, who also worked with the directors and writers of Kingdom, will transform into a policeman.
Actress Go Min Si, Joo Min Kyung, Kim Young Ok, and more are also confirmed to be part of the series.
Jirisan premieres globally on iQiyi starting on October 23.
