With over two weeks more, One Ordinary Day will be making its grand launch!
Scheduled for an 8-episode run, the hardcore crime drama threads on the story of ordinary college student Kim Hyun-soo who, after one drunken night of fun, finds himself the prime suspect in the gruesome murder of a woman he had spent the night with.
With all circumstantial evidence pointing at him and the case receiving increasing scrutiny in the media and on social media, the prosecution is eager to declare him guilty.
Kim Soo Hyun plays the role of Hyun-soo, an ordinary college student who becomes a murder suspect overnight. He is then helped by third-rate lawyer Shin Joon-han, played by Cha Seung Won.
After rolling out engrossing teasers featuring the main leads, the second poster displaying Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won was unveiled by Coupang Play.
Kim Hyun-soo, dressed in a prison uniform, and Shin Jung-han, who came to see his client, vaunt emotion-filled expressions while separated by the prison cell iron fence.
Showing off their charisma with intense eyes hints at a turbulent narrative, they would aspire to win to make their respective lives comebacks. Accordingly, a video teaser was also unveiled showing the lead stars engaged in a conversation for the case.
The production team said, “‘One Ordinary Day’ is a serious masterpiece with a social message that blows a direct hit on the criminal justice system. We ask for your interest and anticipation for the series.”
The Coupang Play series is directed by Lee Myung-woo, whose popular works include Punch, Whisper, and The Fiery Priest. It will be written by Kwon Soon-gyu of The Royal Gambler and Warrior Baek Dong Soo fame.
One Ordinary Day will be released for the first time on November 27 at midnight. It will run twice a week for eight episodes every Saturday and Sunday.
