tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday series, Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist, returns on the small screen for a sequel along with the whole Gyesoo family. Concluding its first season last September, the series became notable for its pleasant and heart-warming stories.
Throughout the whole first season, the Gyesoo family conveyed a motivational message to its viewers on finding reasons to live. Highlighting stories of people who suffer from mental illness, expectations continue to escalate for the upcoming sequel.

Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist is a historical, comical, and medical drama that follows the story of a talented acupuncturist, Yoo Se-poong (Kim Min Jae). He meets Seo Eun-woo (Kim Hyang Gi), a widow, Gye Ji-han (Kim Sang Kyung), and other members of Gyesoo Clinic, with whom he became his second family.
With only a teaser video released, it adds curiosity about the plot the second season will revolve. However, the cliffhanger from the last episode of the first season hints that there are still more enemies that Physician Yoo and the Gyesoo family will face in Hanyang.
In the quirky video teaser, the Gyesoo family assembles with a heartwarming welcome to its viewers. As usual, Physician Yoo Se-poong flaunts his signature smile, and Lady Seo Eun-woo is still radiant and bubbly as ever.
Also, the teaser presents Physician Kye Ji-han Man-bok (Ahn Chang Hwan), Grandma (Jeon Guk Hang), Namhae-daek (Yeon Bo Ra), Ip-bun (Kim Soo An), and Jang-goon (Han Chang Min) with their signature poses.
A signboard of “Gyesuwon Hanyang branch” increases viewers’ excitement as Gyesoo Clinic finally opens in Hanyang. The caption, “let’s look at the heart first,” make viewers look forward to the stories that the series will share.
