My Perfect Stranger is a fantasy and mystery drama about two people who were trapped in 1987 with different but connected objectives. A man who wants to uncover the truth behind a murder case and a woman who desires to stop her parents’ wedding. They realize that their goals are connected and work together to accomplish their respective missions.
Penning the script for Run Into You is Baek So-yeon with Kang Soo-yeon and Lee Woong-hee in charge of directing. Along with the teaser poster released is the affirmation of the premiere on May 1.
“My Perfect Stranger” Orients Viewers With Kim Dong Wook’s Interesting Character
Acquainting viewers with the character of Kim Dong Wook, the series unveils teaser images.
Portraying the role of Yoon Hae-jun, the actor is seen with a serious and persuasive expression in one of the teaser photos. Then, in another image, he sits in an orange car, showing a resolute attitude.
Hae-jun is a journalist in 2021 who accidentally gets a time machine and lives the life of a time traveler by chance. He travels back in time to 1987, experiencing strange things.
In the drama, Jin Ki Joo portrays Baek Yoon-yeong who becomes a time traveler due to an unexpected accident. After which, she gets trapped in 1987. Curiosity is heightened as to how the actress will capture the delicate emotions of Yoon-young as an office worker and a high school girl in 1987.
In the published photos, Kim Dong Wook frowns as if he is worried about something while maintaining a poker face to attract attention. Meanwhile, Jin Ki Joo, who returned to high school in 1987 is shown looking anxious. It draws curiosity about what kind of dangerous things will happen around the two people.
According to the production team, the lead characters have different tasks to solve in 1987. But eventually, they find out that they have the same goal. In particular, the strong will to put everything back by solving the puzzle of the case will increase the dramatic immersion.
My Perfect Stranger will be broadcast for the first time on May 1 on KBS2!
