Song Hye Kyo is making her small screen comeback with Jang Ki Yong.
Earlier, news broke about the newest drama 지금 헤어지는 중입니다 Now We’re Breaking Up (LT). Actor Jang Ki Yong joins Song Hye Kyo as her leading man Yoon Jae Guk.
The drama is scheduled for broadcast in the second half of 2021. Writer Je In is in charge of bringing the drama to life. Je In is known as the writer behind the hit drama Misty. Meanwhile, Lee Gi Bok takes the lead as the director. Fresh off the success of Dr. Romantic 2, Director Lee sets off on a new challenge to a new kind of love story for drama fans.
Now We’re Breaking Up showcases different aspects of love. Most especially, the bittersweet pain of goodbyes. Song will give life to the female protagonist Ha Young Eun. She is a trendy but uptight woman heading the design team of a fashion company. Young Eun is a cold realist with both feet firmly planted on the ground. Much is expected in Song’s small screen comeback, since it has been 2 years since her last drama, Encounter, with Park Bo Gum.
The Lead Cast
Handsome actor Jang Ki Yong makes his 2021 comeback as lead Yoon Jae Guk. He is a hot freelance fashion photographer who is always in a relationship. Accordingly, Jae Guk will cross paths with Young Eun and the two will fall in love.
Joining Song and Jang are Choi Hee Seo and Kim Joo Heon. Choi will play the role of Hwang Chi Sook, the general director of the design team. Chi Sook and Young Eun were high school classmates. Even though she is wealthy and popular, she lacks in talent. Actress Choi left a good impression in her portrayals in the dramas Stranger 2, Big Forest and Mistress.
Actor Kim Joo Heon rounds up the cast for its main leads. His character Seok Do Hoon is the talented head of a PR company. Do Hoon is a pure-hearted man despite his flashy character. Kim was highly visible in 2020 in dramas like Start-Up, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and Dr. Romantic 2.
Now We Are Breaking Up starts shooting in April. SBS will air the drama in the second half of 2021.
