Sung Joon reveals his silver hair and formidable aura in the latest still cuts of Island.
Slated for a December premiere, Island traverses the journey of the characters who are destined to fight against the “evil” that is trying to destroy the world.
The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. Notably, the fantasy-action to be highlighted in the drama is set to unfold in the background of Jeju Island, which brims with folk tales.
Sung Joon takes on the role of Gung-tan, a being abandoned by the world. He was raised by a monk with Ban (Kim Nam Gil). The two were trained to defeat evil.
After an unexpected incident, Gung-tan had no choice but to go against Ban (Kim Nam Gil).

In the middle of the forest, Gung Tan (Sung Joon) found Ban’s main weapon. Lost in thought, he stares at the weapon intently. The scene stimulates curiosity about what kind of story is hidden from him.
In the previous poster, he was also seen holding the same weapon with blood stains. It further garners interest in the two characters’ relationship.
Sung Joon is hinted propelling faultless portrayal of the character’s aura. The production team commended his genius acting.

Island is set to release on December 30, via TVING and Amazon Prime Video.
