A 19th-century Joseon Confucian girl and a 21st-century ironclad third-generation chaebol draw fantasy and romance in The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract.

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract is adapted from a popular webcomic of the same name into a romance fantasy series revolving around a girl from the Joseon period who
travels to modern times. Park Yeon-owo, (Lee Se Young), a lady from an influential family in the 19th century, suffers a sad fate and gets thrown into a well. She then wakes up in the year 2023 and ends up in a fake marriage with a man who looks like her ex-husband (Bae In Hyuk).

To be directed by Park Sang Hoon (My Secret Terrius), penning the script is Wife Scandal writer, Go Nam-jung.

In the drama, Lee Se Young takes on the role of Park Yeon-woo, a Joseon Confucian girl who crosses 200 years and ends up in South Korea in 2023 after being kidnapped and thrown into a well.

The actress challenges a unique acting transformation as the dignified yet lovely Park Yeon-woo, who braves an unexpected fate.

She becomes entangled in a contract marriage with Kang Tae-ha, portrayed by Bae In Hyuk, a tough-minded man who prioritizes logic over emotions and presents a fateful romance.

In the main poster unveiled, a polar opposite visual evoking their lives in a completely different time and space while wearing traditional wedding attire and modern attire, respectively.

The lead stars sit side by side against the backdrop of a pure white wedding hall with wedding flower decorations maximizing the romantic excitement.

Park Yeon-woo, who seems to have just come out of a traditional wedding palanquin, is wearing a colorful wedding dress and a bewildered expression while Kang Tae-ha, wearing a black tuxedo, is holding a wedding ring in one hand handing it to Yeon-woo, creating a subtle contrast.

In particular, between them, a white butterfly emits a sparkling light, raising curiosity about their relationship and the meaning of butterflies in their connection.

Also, the phrase “Will you be my bride again?” draws attention to how Park Yeon-woo and Kang Tae-ha will become intertwined again.
