“The Worst of Evil” Introduces Lead Stars In Cinematic Character Posters

Capturing the intense moments of their respective characters, Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Jun, Lim Se Mi and Kim Hyung Seo are all geared up for The Worst of Evil!

When a potent new recreational drug begins spreading throughout Seoul’s liveliest venues, an undercover officer will infiltrate the gang responsible in The Worst of Evil – a thrilling new crime drama coming September 27, exclusively on Disney+.

In 1990s Seoul, a former DJ seized control of a gang and began pushing a popular new drug nicknamed “Gangnam Crystal” in the city’s nightclubs. With little known about its source, a rural officer is recruited into an undercover police unit and is tasked with infiltrating the gang to bring it down from the inside.

Forced to keep his new assignment a secret from everyone, Officer Park Jun-mo is stunned to discover his wife and fellow officer Yu Eui-jeong has volunteered for the same assignment and that she has a mysterious past with the city’s new drug lord. Torn between his dedication to his job and his need to keep his wife safe, Jun-mo’s actions will keep viewers on the edge of their seats throughout.

Four Intertwining Lives In 1990s Gangnam

Starring Ji Chang Wook (Suspicious Partner, Healer, Empress Ki) as police officer Park Jun-mo,Wi Ha Jun (Squid Game, 18 Again, Little Women) as DJ turned gang-leader, Jung Gi-cheul; Lim Semi (My Secret Terrius, True Beauty, Shopaholic Louis) as security officer Yu Eui-jeong; and Kim Hyung-seo, who plays the role of Hae-ryeon, a drug distributor, The Worst of Evil is directed by Han Dongwook (Man in Love) and written by Jang Minseok (Secret Union, Maundy Thursday).

Accordingly, the arresting character posters feature Ji Chang Wook carrying out a dangerous operation to gain the trust of Gi-cheul. Director Han voices his confidence in the actor by applauding his innate undercover detective presence.

Wi Ha Jun who plays Gi-cheul immerses in his role as a boss who does everything to achieve success. He is expected to heighten tension by showing both his complex feelings of doubt and determination toward Jun-mo and Eui-jeong, who protect him.

Next, Lim Se Mi plays the role of Eui-jeong, an elite police officer who has a special relationship with Jun-mo and Gi-cheul.

Finally, Kim Hyung-seo, who plays the role of Hae-ryeon, a key distributor of a drug factory in China who came to Korea to trade with Gi-cheul, but later meets Jun-mo and adds her presence as a person who develops another case.
