Backed up by Production Arc Media with Director Kim Hyung-il and writer Jo Jung-sun collaborating on the creative team, Uee is set to appear in a ruminative family series.
Writer Jo is famous for her works My Too Perfect Sons and Mother of Mine. Director Kim recently worked on The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won.
효심이네 각자도생 Hyo Shim’s Independent Life (LT) tells the story of Hyo-shim. She is a daughter who has dedicated her life to her family with her innate kindness and warm empathy. In the process of finding an independent life, she sets forth to liberate herself from her family.
It is a family emancipation drama depicting the process of self-love that would tackle people who go through the sad realities of filial piety as well as those who benefit from it effortlessly.
Playing the titular role, Uee challenges the character of Lee Hyo-shim. Responsible for the livelihood of her mother, two older brothers, and her younger brother; she becomes the family’s breadwinner when her father vanished one day.
Empathizing her mother’s pain, Hyo-shim devoted her life to her family. Since she was young, she was exceptionally good at using her body, and there was no exercise she couldn’t do.
After graduating from high school, she immediately got a job as a fitness trainer. Through her current job, she supports her family.
Previously, Uee appeared in another KBS weekend drama, My Only One. Her portrayal garnered applause from viewers scoring impressive viewership ratings.
In addition, her filmography has several works that recorded double-digit viewership ratings. Her most recent and popular works include Ghost Doctor, Marriage Contract and High Society.
Interestingly, Uee, who is famous for her healthy exercise evangelist, got to play her character as a kind, warm, and healthy-spirited fitness trainer in this work. This is why the comeback of the weekend ratings queen is more anticipated.
