Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo, and Park Sung Woong Banner ENA’s New Thriller Comedy “Unlock The Boss”

Unlock The Boss

ENA’s new midweek series, Unlock The Boss, piques interest with its interesting premise.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series is slated for December 7 airing. It chronicles the story of a boss who gets trapped in his smartphone and an intern who picked up his mobile phone.

Correspondingly, the webtoon received great love at the time of its serialization for its unique material and dynamic development that crosses comedy and thriller. Collaborating as the creative team of the series are director Lee Chul-ha (Okay Madam!) and Kim Myung-min who co-wrote Netflix’s Sweet Home.

Drawing life to Park In-seong, a student on a training job, is Chae Jong Hyeop. His life turns upside down when he picks up a cryptic mobile phone. Born with a less-privileged life, he has lived a hard life yet he has not accomplished anything.

Stumbling on the smartphone of a company president, he infiltrates his company to pursue the truth according to the orders of the trapped president. Chae Jong Hyeop has been building up his acting presence with lauded portrayals in dramas Love All Play, The Witch’s Diner, Sisyphus The Myth and Stove League.

“I feel pressured to express the dynamic life of Park In-seong, who becomes a boss overnight from being a trainee. But I am grateful and honored just to be able to work with many seniors through this work. I’m really grateful to be able to play the character Park In-seong, and I’m working hard on filming. I will come back with a good image, so please look forward to it.”

Next, Seo Eun Soo transforms into Jeong Se-yeon, an AI-like assistant who cannot afford to dream. While usually indifferent to other people, she becomes In-seong’s strongest ally. The actress last worked on projects Missing: The Other Side, The Witch Part 2 and Kingmaker.

“I was drawn to the interesting topic of a soul that gets trapped into a smartphone. I’m doing my best to make a good project, so I’m having a lot of fun filming. Please look forward to it and show interest.”

Lastly, seasoned actor Park Sung Woong takes on the role of Kim Seon-joo, president of an emerging IT company who gets caught up in a vague incident that led to his soul getting trapped inside his smartphone. He is a world-class developer who turns imagination into reality but possesses a bad personality.

“It is a work that is comical, mysterious, and has a complex charm. We are having fun filming, so please look forward to the viewers.”

Unlock The Boss premieres on December 7 at 9 PM!
