Moonshine introduces its male lead Yoo Seung Ho, and he definitely got our attention!

Portraying the role of a principled inspector tasked to chase after illegal alcohol sellers, the actor is seen as a man engrossed in improving his academic skills in the teaser photos.

Moonshine is a romance story between a woman brewing alcohol and a principled inspector who goes after moonshiners in the era when the strongest prohibition of alcohol is in place.

In the drama, Yoo Seung Ho takes the role of Nam Young, a dignified and spirited country scholar who leads an upright life. With almost perfect specs, the only thing lacking for him is the reputation of his family. Nam Young knows very well that he is handsome. Armed with confidence, he submitted an appeal for him to go to the capital.

As reflected in the still cuts released by the production team today, Nam Young is shown neatly dressed in white hanbok while participating in what appears to be a state exam. Never giving up despite the pressure from his past exams, he shows off his honed skills without regret. Continuing his relentless brush strokes, he answers to the very end albeit being left alone in an empty exam hall.

Giving a peek at Yoo’s new character, the production team said that Nam Young is not only good in academics. He is also bold and charismatic.

The series will be aired for the first time on KBS 2TV on Monday, December 20th.
