The lead actor Go Soo, who reprised his role as Kim Wook, a swindler who can see souls, expressed that he feels much more comfortable continuing into the second season of the same drama. He said,

“Portraying Kim Wook is fun, the filming site is comfortable, and our teamwork with the staff is great. While we were filming, I used to talk with Heo Joon Ho about Season 2 as a sort of joke. We frequently said things like “I think we can look forward to seasons 3 and 4″, that’s why I feel new kinds of emotions because of how we often talked about them.”

Go Soo revealed that the “drama’s subject matter” and “viewers’ love” are what kept him driven to continue working in Season 2.

“The greatest strength of ‘Missing: The Other Side 2’ lies in the subject matter. It is a drama that tells the stories of the deceased people who died because of an unfortunate accident. Many episodes began with the question “What are the words they wanted to say but couldn’t? I think this has been the driving force that brought us until season 2.”

Adding to his gratitude remark, the actor mentioned that the constant support of the viewers and the efforts of the production team made the second season possible.

Furthermore, Go So discusses his bromance chemistry with veteran actor Heo Joon Ho who played Jang Pan Seok, his partner in the “soul-searching duo” in the drama.

I’m grateful that Heo Joon Ho was giving good reactions and always being receptive so that I could act comfortably. You can look forward to our upgraded chemistry.”

Conveying the filming site environment and the actor’s synergy, the actor commented,

“The atmosphere on the set is really good. The actors who were with me from the first season and the newly-joined actors all worked hard to show the viewers a great work.”

On the other hand, Go Soo explains that he focuses on Kim Wook’s character texture rather than the narrative part.

“Since Kim Wook meets a lot of people and encounters different situations while traveling between the real world and the spirit village, I tried to act without being bound or biased by emotions, situations, and people.”

Giving a preview of what to expect for the upcoming season, the actor revealed that Season 1 feels like a prequel to Season 2.

“If Season 1 started with explanations of all the mysterious situations, including why Wook sees the deceased, Season 2 will immediately start with the incident which increases the viewers’ immersion.”

He then said that all actors and production staff worked hard together to film every episode, hoping that viewers would watch it comfortably. Go Soo added,

“It may be considered a serious drama due to the subject and genre, but rather, it doubles the bright and pleasant charm through the characters’ stories, so please look forward to it.”

Finally, Go Soo asks viewers to anticipate Missing: The Other Side 2

“Missing: The Other Side will return with season 2 on Monday before Christmas. It will be a heartwarming drama that goes well with the year-end atmosphere filled with singing carols. We will come back with a more fun and rich story than Season 1, so please look forward to Missing: The Other Side 2.”

Meanwhile, Missing: The Other Side 2 will air at 8:50 PM KST on December 19.
