Ghost Doctor Episode 14 Key Moments

“Let me warn you. Don’t you lay a finger on him again. Cha Young Min is my teacher now.”

Visiting Han Seung Won’s office, Seung Tak, with Young Min beside him, relays his message to him that no one can ruin Dr. Ko and that he will understand that he is only getting started. However, this time, Seung Tak specifically warns his cousin not to harm Young Min again, since he will be his teacher from now on.

Following that, Seung Tak begins practicing the basics of developing the practical abilities necessary to become a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon. Guiding Seung Tak and eventually losing patience with him, Professor Cha gently teaches him everything from sutures to intubation.

To strengthen his training, Young Min requires Seung Tak to use both of his hands sequentially while eating his food. It is to hone his hands’ dexterity, which is especially necessary while operating on a patient. He even let Seung Tak sew a piece of fabric around a balloon.

“The desperation that holds on to one’s life. Those desperations met, connected, and became intertwined.”

Receiving some trauma patients in the ER, Young Min instructs Seung Tak to focus on only one patient at a time. Subsequently, he urges Seung Tak to call another doctor while he intubates the patient.

Afterwards, Seung Tak sutures the wounds of the remaining patients. Hearing that the patient he treated first went into cardiac arrest, Seung Tak and Young Min approach them. Recalling the first patient who died in the OR, Seung Tak did not leave in fear this time.

He stares directly at the ghost patient, which motivates him, even more, to save him no matter what. After the patient’s heartbeat returned, all the doctors, including ghosts, were amazed by Seung Tak’s ability to save a patient.

“He doesn’t eat chicken. It made him very sick once.”

Giving gifts and a meal to Dr. Jang per Young Min’s request, Se Jin happily accepts them without complaining, considering she is aware of Seung Tak’s strange behavior.

Similarly, she earlier inquired of intern Oh about Seung Tak’s food preferences, and Su Jeong informs her that he dislikes chicken because the last time he ate it made him sick.

Se Jin confirms that Young Min is in his body by ordering a chicken dish that tastes excellent for him. As they walked back to the hospital, the two stopped at a convenience store, where Se Jin grabbed himself a drink.

With the Chairman’s son keeping a close eye on her, he has already devised a scheme to take revenge on Se Jin for stealing his inheritance. He ordered that someone hit Seung Tak hard, causing Young Min to leap off his body.

Ghost Doctor Episode 14 Musings

This series undoubtedly never ceases to astonish us with its character development. Tears of joy are certainly shed as Ko Seung Tak develops an interest in becoming a practical, skilled doctor.

Whereas he previously avoided training as an intern due to his dread of ghosts and concern that someone else might die because of him, he now trains carefully and finally learns from them pretty quickly.

Furthermore, this episode revealed that Oh Su Jeong has a greater connection with Seung Tak’s grandfather than he does as a grandson.

It began with her grandfather, Professor Oh’s funeral, during which she was terribly sick and witnessed firsthand how her grandfather possessed a doctor and saved Seung Tak’s life. Seung Tak’s grandfather was also there at the time and found Oh Su Jeong.

We still have a lot to worry about, despite the fact that the recent episode of Ghost Doctor provided us with a happy dose of narrative as it approaches its penultimate chapter. That is, whether Young Min will return to the living realm or whether he will remain a Ghost Doctor indefinitely.
