“Delightfully Deceitful” Episodes 5 and 6 Reveal Surprising Back Stories

Reuniting with fellow geniuses “nurtured” by Jeokmok Foundation, Ro-woom’s vengeance motivation is starting to get revealed in Delightfully Deceitful.

Still wanting to be a willing victim, Moo-young is also getting pieces of information in the web of lies and truths that involve Jeokmok kids.

Delightfully Deceitful Episodes 5 and 6 Highlights

Previously, Moo-young makes a surprising proposal to Ro-woom in joining her team for the revenge plot she’s planning. Leveraging he is the only lawyer to help her, Moo-young reasons his intention to be part of her plan.

Ro-woom receives news of Professor Shin’s death and goes to pay respect to him. She was approached by the professor’s secretary and given some documents that she would need.

“I wanted to become a lawyer to help people. I thought my hyper-empathy won’t help me at all. But I may be able to turn the tables.”

Meeting his psychiatrist, Moo-young confessed to having stopped taking his meds. He also shares his dangerous journey ahead of bringing justice while working for his clients. Explicitly, he declares going all out to con people.

With a target in mind, Ro-woom gathers Jeokmok Kids: Da-jung, Ring Go and Na Sa for a gambling fraud with Moo-young. They proceed to bring Park Jong-gu, a waste management company owner with a long list of evil deeds to a gambling event.

Using beauty trap, Ro-woom and Ring Go execute the initial plan to lure Park Jong-gu. Later, on her way home, Ro-woom obliges Moo-young’s request to eat ramyun together.

Revealing where they first met, she remains indifferent to the persistent lawyer who entered her life.

Moo-young learned the truth that Jeokmok Kids were in fact trained to be elite criminals from Ring Go. The hardships they experienced when they were young caused them to be messed up with irreversible emotional damages that still manifest.

On the trap setting day, Moo-young escapes Ro-woom’s test when the police came for a gambling den tip which shook mentally unstable Na Sa.

Moo-young points out the other passage and his calmness and prearranged precaution achieve Ro-woom’s initial purpose. He asks his former client to play with the target and eventually takes his money.


“Let’s commit fraud together.”

A problem arises when the murderer of Ro-woom’s parents was found dead and drags her to have aided the murder.

When she meets the culprit, she was given a familiar image that only she knows. Later, she also learns from Da-jung that one of the projects Jeokmok Foundation asked them to do was to bankrupt Moo-young’s father.

Still, she agrees to have Moo-young onboard her plan to go first after Jang Kyung Ja, a prominent figure leading Navis.


Delightfully Deceitful Episodes 5 and 6 Musings

Drawing a solid backstory about talented young people used by an evil company disguising to have been nurturing gifted youths; the intrigue in the series keeps heightening to an addicting level.

More so, the revelation of Moo-young’s identity drives another interesting twist in the narrative. Either way, if he purposely planned to get closer to Jeokmok kids or is not aware of them being the cause of his family’s downfall – spurs a thrilling moment worth anticipating.

For a revenge story, Delightfully Deceitful is unpredictably amazing because of how convincing and resonating the focal characters are and their stories.

As a viewer, there’s a part that you fear Ro-woom’s dauntless attitude, yet you look forward to what surprises her brilliant mind would put on the table. Likewise, Moo-young’s hyper-empathic nature draws us to worry about the expected disappointments that he most likely would endure.

Adding to the variables in the story is Yo-han’s real intention and if he is connected to Jeokmok kids.
