Doctor Cha Episode 6 and 7 Highlights
Her sincere intention to help patients help Cha Jeong-suk brave her initial choice. Instead of quitting, she finds a new motivation to carry on.
Certainly, this did not sit well with Seung-hee who takes her annoyance to In-ho.
Meanwhile, Jeong-suk asks her bestie Mi-hee to check around the daughter of her current dying patient, Jang Hae-nam.
However, Hae-nam’s daughter is ridden with guilt as it turns out that she was the one who poisoned her father, but her mother took the fall.
Helping to reunite the estranged mother and daughter, Jeong-suk still gets a wage cut for Hae-nam’s escape which annoyed In-ho who was pushing for her to get expelled.
“How about you stop deceiving your wife?”
When In-ho met Seung-hee later, they were spotted by So-ra and Dr. Kim who both went to the same hotel.
The latter realized the first time he saw them together was not a coincidence. Unable to ignore what he just fathomed, Dr. Kim also warns In-ho to stop being unfaithful.
Denying Dr. Kim’s remark, In-ho tells him to mind his business. But his annoyance, he takes to Jeong-suk by nitpicking and banning him from his rounds.
Finding Jeong-suk alone, Dr. Kim invites her for a weekend marathon with his group which she agrees to and brings along Mi-hee. But her friend easily notices that she does not have a chance with Dr. Kim since he obviously likes Jeong-suk.
In-ho convenes the aspiring doctors for an upcoming surgery and Jeong-suk notices something that could prevent a surgical biopsy. She raises it to In-ho who agrees to a deal of having her back in the class if she’s right and quitting her training if she’s wrong.
Jeong-suk’s assessment turned out to be true which made In-ho who is suffering from a stiff shoulder even more infuriated. Jeong-suk’s day continues to be on a high note when she made another good call on an ER patient which eventually saved the patient’s life and earned praise from So-ra.
“What an interesting tangled life we have.”
Unfortunately, her happy day changes in a moment when In-ho found out about I-rang’s college plans are not leaning toward her becoming a doctor but an artist. Before that, she also learns about Eun-seo being Seung-hee’s daughter.
Processing her thoughts, Jeong-suk tries to run to declutter her mind, but she almost fell to the ground if not for Dr. Roy’s quick hands.
He went to see Jeong-suk to relieve the guilt of knowing about her husband’s affair. At that moment, it is actually what she has been surmising about given the clues she got from Seung-hee and her daughter.
Unfortunately, Jeong-suk’s mother-in-law arrives which halted his plan.
Seeing I-rang’s art materials scattered, Jeong-suk confronts In-ho’s fury. Still, he is resigned for his daughter to pursue medical studies and advises Jeong-suk to explain that I-rang can only take art as a hobby.
Firm to finance I-rang’s passion, Jeong-suk got an idea from Sora to take out a loan.
Seung-hee learns from In-ho that Dr. Kim knows about their affair and challenges him to reveal it to Jeong-suk. But he chides her for being twisted as much as In-ho is.
“I’m glad you are safe.”
Meanwhile, the current patient being taken care of by the Family Medicine department suffers from Crohn’s disease. After a failed surgery, his depression surges. A visit from his in-laws pleading to let go of their daughter pushes him to commit suicide.
Jeong-suk who caught up with his plan, finds him at the rooftop. Thinking she already made quite a pep talk to dissuade him of his plan, they get up.
But the patient suddenly jumps and Jeong-suk holds him and they fell to the ground with a ready cushion that protected them.
In-ho and Dr. Roy rush back to the ground and while In-ho fearfully castigates his wife for doing something outrageous; Dr. Kim held Jeong-suk in his arms feeling relieved that she is safe.
Doctor Cha Episodes 6 and 7 Musings
It won’t be long till the affair of In-ho with Seung-hee will be out in the open in the forthcoming chapters of Doctor Cha.
Something to anticipate in the story is if Jeong-suk will choose to protect her family or leave a loveless and unfaithful marriage.
Moreover, will Dr. Roy’s fondness for Jeong-suk prosper into something special?
Noticeably, the series incorporates patient cases that capitalize on emotional value.
On that note, featuring family stories are working well with the design of these side stories which contributes to the engrossing vibe of the narrative.
We can feel all the revelations coming in one heap next episode. Thankfully, the spirited and refreshing mood of Doctor Cha keeps the drama subdued so far. The refreshing humor and consistency of the characters are also making the progression of the story quite addicting.
