Ha-kyung and Si-woo arrive at the mutual decision to break up in the 7th week of Forecasting Love and Weather.
Their discreet relationship though was exposed at work and with Ha-kyung’s family. Consequently, they struggle to explain that they are not together anymore.

Forecasting Love And Weather Episode 13 & 14 Key Moments
Facing an important decision whether to keep or not their relationship, Ha-kyung ponders on Si-woo’s agreement to her initial suggestion. With another typhoon looming, Ha-kyung stays at Jeju Typhoon Center. Discharged from the hospital, Si-woo also returns to the center.
“People at typhoon center work hard and get injured a lot because they work onsite. I know that. But we also go through a lot at Headquarters too.”
It turns out that Team 2 members are already aware that something is going on between Ha-kyung and Si-woo except Senior Forecaster Eom. Lending a hand to the typhoon center team per Chief Kwon’s instruction, Ha-kyung stays at Jeju.
She gets a lukewarm treatment from Typhoon Center team leader, Director Sung Mi-jin. Meanwhile, the connection between Seok-ho and Tae-kyung is progressing well. It also caused an uncharacteristic error from Seok-ho which Director Sung used to criticize Ha-kyung’s team.
Standing up for her team, Ha-kyung relays that while the team at the typhoon center is prone to accidents, it does not mean people at the headquarters just sit comfortably. She shares the sacrifices her team members do for their work at KMA.
When another tricky typhoon arrives, KMA decides to deploy a team to get a clearer picture of its path. Ha-kyung and Si-woo go to the sea to launch a weather balloon while Director Sung and another member go to another point.
“It’s my turn now. Which scenario should I choose in breaking up with you? Scenario One: cling to you. Scenario Two: break up on a high note. Scenario Three: drag it as much as I can.”
Giving her answer, Ha-kyung acquiesces to ending her relationship with Si-woo. Her sister Tae-kyung finally seals a romantic relationship with Seok-ho.
After venting their frustrations, Ki-jun and Yu-jin also made up. Seeing her husband playing with her friends, Myung-joo also gives him an ultimatum whether to get a divorce or study as if his life depends on it.
When he returns to Seoul with Ha-kyung, Si-woo learns that his relationship with Ha-kyung is known at the office.
Rushing to where she is, they also answered Ha-kyung’s mom’s discovery of their relationship through an intimate picture. No matter how much they denied it, Ha-kyung’s mother won’t listen.
“People don’t care about breakups. They are just curious about the reason.”
Silently celebrated as a new workplace couple, Si-woo feels bothered about the situation. Ki-jun talks with Si-woo about their situation and reminds him that Ha-kyung does not deserve to be a laughing stock in the office.
At work, Ha-kyung and Si-woo decide to keep their breakup a secret in the meantime and ride to keep up with their dating revelation.
Meanwhile, Yu-jin shares the news with Ki-jun about her having a new column and that she is pregnant.
At different places, the ex-lovers meet to share their concerns. Ki-jun opens up about his fears of being a good father when he struggles to be a good husband. Learning her love problem, Ki-jun encourages her by highlighting her charming merits.
Conflicted about her pregnancy, Yu-jin talks to Ki-jun about her decision not to keep their child since they are both not ready.
Finding himself standing in front of Ha-kyung’s apartment building, Si-woo recalls his conversation with Yu-jin about his decision to break up with Ha-kyung. His fear of making her carry his burden outweighs the love he still feels for her.
He bumps into Ha-kyung’s mom and was invited to her place for a talk. Meanwhile, Ha-kyung goes to the hospital to check on Si-woo’s father.
Forecasting Love And Weather Episode 13 & 14 Musings
The accompanying side love stories in Forecasting Love and Weather have found ways to flourish adorably and meaningfully. Just like the romance between Seok-ho and Tae-kyung finally evolved as Ki-jun and Yu-jin also patch up their differences.
It’s also nice to see Senior Forecaster Eom and his wife rationally compromise. Likewise, we admire Myung-joo for knowing her worth as a woman who has been nothing but supportive to her husband.
From the onset, Yu-jin has a pragmatic approach to her life decisions. Her choice to give up her child springs from her lack of trust in Ki-jun which technically makes sense owing to his being indecisive.
Will Ha-kyung and Si-woo find a way to dispel their love inhibitions?
