Love Is For Suckers Episode 7 Highlights

Previously, Yeo-reum confronts a painful truth about her dream marriage not pushing through. Still, life goes on for her and continues her work in the new show assigned to her.

However, barely braving her setback, she faces another one when an aberration caused by one of the participants of the show happened. Thankfully, her best friend Jae-hoon is there to save her from the predicament.

Jae-hoon enters the dating show where Ji-yeon, a woman he recently met through his mother also participates. Confessing his feelings to Yeo-reum; Jae-hoon offers that she can take him as a friend or as a man. He also reveals to Ji-yeon that Yeo-reum is the woman he keeps in his heart that’s why there’s no space for others to enter anymore.

Ji-yeon proposes to Jae-hoon that she can be used for Yeo-reum to finally see how good her best friend is to become her man. Making sense of her suggestion, Jae-hoon agrees with her offer.

Love is for Suckers

“Spring at 20 happens only once in a lifetime. Everyone is shining but I’m the only dull one.”

A flashback of 20-year-old best friends reveals how Yeo-reum belatedly earned her university studies. When she chances upon Jae-hoon, they go for a drink and accidentally kissed. The next day, they both pretend it did not happen and go on with their lives.

Back at present time, filming continues for Season of Love 2. Following Jae-hoon’s win and choice to date Ji-yeon; the girls also did leg wrestling where Ji-wan won and picked Jun-ho.

After a drinking game, Ji-wan ends up getting a lot of drinks since she does not have experience dating. Jun-ho who is set on creating a love line with her follows to the spot where she was trying to sober up.

But when he tries to help her get up and touches her side, she pushes him hard. The production team huddles as to what could be the reason for that reaction.

Meanwhile, Hye-jin who came with her husband check on Yeo-reum who admits she’s getting by as much as she can. Dae-sik also checks Jae-hoon and learns about his confession to Yeo-reum. Haunted by his friend’s reminder to take care of their friend from being snatched by another man, Jae-hoon goes on a hilarious and pointless suspicion of Sang-woo.

At Ji-wan’s date with Jun-ho, she confessed to being sexually harassed by a relative when she was young. Thus, she has a strong aversion to a male’s touch. The trauma also pushed her to stay home and become distant from other people.

Hitting a jackpot, Chae-ri is happy with the revelation. However, Ji-wan asked Sang-woo not to air her confession as it could hurt her mother. Bargaining with Chae-ri, she promises a kiss on Jae-hoon’s date with Ji-yeon.

“We’re not 20-year-olds. We’re all grown-ups. So, just a kiss means nothing, right?”

Making sure that it will happen, Yeo-reum visits the filming location. She talks to Ji-yeon about what Sang-woo discovers to be her intentional ploy to fall into the pool to get Jae-hoon’s attention.

Pressed with time, Ji-yeon is nowhere to be found so the staff frantically searches for her. Yeo-reum meets Jae-hoon for her impossible request to kiss Jae-hoon.

She cites a kiss is nothing since they are all grown-ups. Bewildered at her request, Jae-hoon bluntly responds if she does not mind him kissing other women when she knows he likes her.

Borrowing her lines that kisses mean nothing like one-night stands are normal; Jae-hoon seized the opportunity just in time when the filming resumes.

He pulls Yeo-reum closer and kisses her again after 17 years.

Love Is For Suckers Episode 7 Musings

Love Is For Suckers has been enjoying its ability to draw people in rooting for Jae-hoon’s journey to help Yeo-reum understand that they’ve long been fated to be each other’s, true love.

Reality-wise, we understand Yeo-reum’s emotions are literally messy right now. But if she can only accept that picking up her broken pieces is best done with her best friend, we will all be happy.

Aside from the main love line, the love stories in the fictional world of Kingdom of Love Season 2 are also shaping. Although most of them are intentional; the series is keeping them relevant to the narrative by presenting scenarios that can happen in the pursuit of finding romance.

Was Ji-yeon advertently helping Jae-hoon and Yeo-reum that’s why she vanished. We’re definitely curious about Yeo-reum’s reaction to the no-meaning kiss she shared with Jae-hoon in the next episode of the series.
