May I Help You Episode 5 Highlights

Tae-hee’s nightmare is revealed to be something related to his past when he failed to save a young boy named, Jun-ho. The same boy who caused Dong-joo’s wish-granting mission to the deceased people.

“I left my ring at Bongsu market.”

While holding a ring, Dong-joo surmises the events that brought her to an otherworldly conquest. Jun-ho asks her to retrieve his ring during her early days as a funeral director. Struggling to process her situation of being haunted by Jun-ho’s voice, she rushed to locate the store he was told to go by the little boy.

Reality hit her, but as she was about to give up, she spots a box indeed holding a ring. However, she was not able to give it to Jun-ho’s family.

Meanwhile, Tae-hee makes up for his rude behavior and works to get Dong-joo back at their place. He even talks to Dong-joo’s team leader to ensure that she will keep her job. He also apologizes for not believing in her.

In the end, she relents and embraces a chummier relationship with Tae-hee.

May I Help You

“They’re pretty and really cool. Your hands.”

A peek at Team Leader Im’s private life reveals his ex-lover is also unfurled. It hints at a heartbreaking separation but when he chances to meet his ex-lover, he did not hesitate to help her as she appears to be in dire need of money.

Dong-joo’s latest client, a grandmother, not only has a good heart but also a kind daughter-in-law. Meeting her warmed up Dong-joo’s heart who often has to face discrimination for her job.

At the wake, just as she is attentive to the details, the client’s daughter-in-law shares the same passion. She commends Dong-joo for having a remarkable job.

It turns out that it was all a pretentious facade. A painful experience for Dong-joo who greatly appreciated someone being kind to her for the first time.

When Tae-hee witnessed how the daughter-in-law threw the flowers Dong-joo bought for Dong-joo’s latest client, he exposes her true face.

Knowing she is emotionally down; he also gives her words of encouragement about how amazing her job is.

The next day, Dong-joo wakes up and feels another body next to hers.

May I Help You Episode 5 Musings

In the fifth episode of May I Help You, Dong-joo’s lingering regret of not being able to accomplish the wish of her first client, Jun-ho is highlighted.

The featured grandmother client who earnestly shared her thoughts about meeting her mother in the afterlife probably pierced through Dong-joo.

As someone who never got the chance to feel her mother’s love and even hated herself in the process, something about the grandmother’s words hopefully heals her heart.

Emphasis on the weight of carrying a career that gets a lot of prejudice is again featured in this episode. Fortunately for Dong-joo, she has Tae-hee who truly acknowledges her career’s worth.

Accordingly, Tae-hee also leans toward the intention of confirming Jun-ho’s connection with Dong-joo somehow. It was mentioned how Tae-hee dropped out of med school and was about to propose to a woman.

The theory of Jun-ho’s ring is actually Tae-hee makes sense and suggests a love triangle that will emerge most likely.

We can anticipate how the two will discover that little boy Jun-ho is something they have in common.

Join Butler Kim and Dong-joo in their journey of granting wishes to departed ones in May I Help You. International fans can watch on Prime Video.
