Dong-joo’s next mission puts her in a disheartening situation as the deceased involved is a mother about to give birth to her child.

Empathizing with her pain, she tries to help with her request to speak with her husband.

While trying to call her husband, the funeral parlor which usually transforms into a different place when Dong-joo communicates with the dead suddenly switches back to reality.

The deceased mother who is talking to her strangely suddenly lost consciousness as well when the door opens and reveals Tae-hee who was asked by Dong-joo’s senior to bring her the ordered food.

“If you are sincere enough your wish will be granted.”

Blaming Tae-hee for causing the conversation with the dead mom to be interrupted, Dong-joo relentlessly tries to look for the chief mourner.

May I Help You Episodes 3 and 4 Musings

It seems like the link between Dong-joo and Tae-hee runs deep. The boy who kickstarted Dong-joo’s psychic ability appears to be connected to Tae-hee. Since we met him in bits so far, we can infer that he holds a crucial meaning to the series.

On that note, Tae-hee’s nightmare about the little boy asking why he was murdered by Tae-hee peeks at probable intertwining clues that would manifest clearly in the coming episodes. Additionally, a decisive situation surely would make him believe that Dong-joo is telling the truth about her psychic ability.

Capitalizing on messages about death and living, May I Help You has so far featured affecting stories relevant to a wide range of audiences. Foreseen disheartening moments and instances of regrets are expected in the plot. Nevertheless, we can see the attention to carving life lessons.

This week’s episodes particularly put emphasis on braving the pain of losing someone permanently. Possibly, a constant or general theme in the duration of the series.

Amidst the anticipated featured weekly stories, the uncanny encounters between Dong-joo and Tae-hee will also unfold.

Notably, well-functioning supporting cast members and guest actors add vibrance to the narrative with their interactions with the lead couple.

Also, Hyeri is surely making an effort to alter a different kind of “vibrant character” in her works, and it is quite noticeable just like what she’s doing in May I Help You. Similarly, Lee Jun Young is also successful to warm characters that switch from cold to kind.

Will Dong-joo and Tae-hee resolve their misunderstandings soon?
