Caught in an adorable puppy love predicament, Ja-young and Ji-yul ended up smoothing out the faint disappointment of their belated reunion.
Fortunately, the childhood friends were able to reconcile misunderstandings and are both willing to understand each other’s perspectives.

Once Upon A Small Town Episode 7 Highlights
Previously, Ji-yul finally remembers Ja-young as his childhood friend years ago. Sang-hyun also braves a love confession to his childhood friend and urges her to take time in weighing her decision.
“You were the only good memory that year.”
Realization begets awkwardness for former childhood friends. Interestingly, the two get entangled with a puppy love problem of Seon-dong. Apparently, Hui-won, the girl he likes is a bit upset that he does not remember the gift she once gave him.
Receiving pieces of advice from Ji-yul and Ja-young; his situation worsens, as Hui-won thinks he has a split personality following the pieces of advice he got. Unable to bear the stress, he texted Hui-won with an alarming note that he will not disturb her and did not go home as well.
Subsequently, the police, Ja-young and Ji-yul look for her. When they find him, Ji-yul reassures him that Hui-won is not mad anymore.
Sending him back home, Ji-yul also confronts the reunion he has been evading and apologizes to Ja-young for not recognizing her.
Once Upon A Small Town Episode 7 Musings
Soon, viewers will be treated to the expected romance to blossom in Once Upon A Small Town. We see Ji-yul already subconsciously investing time in Ja-young. Soon, he should be able to label that emotion.
This would make us in a dilemma, of course, as viewers since Sang-hyun is equally a good catch that we want for Ja-young.
In Ja-young’s situation, the conflict presented is how she will weigh which memories equate to love. Will it be the seasoned memories she has with Sang-hyun or that fleeting yet special childhood memory with Ji-yul?
