The Killing Vote

The Killing Vote Episode 3 and 4 Highlights

Previously, Mu-chan risked his life in pursuit of Gaetal aka “the masked man” who was trying to kill the second recipient of the judgment from the killing vote.

“The big problem is that “masked man” is doing what you are supposed to be doing!”

In flashback, Ju-hyun managed to drag Mu-chan away from the car before it exploded completely.

The police released news that Mu-chan suffered severe injuries and used his situation to overturn the influence of the masked man who has so far asserted sound propositions to the crime offenders who evaded the law.

Meanwhile, Min and Ji-hoon were caught by Ju-hyun having the video evidence she extracted from Min’s laptop. The two share the clues they found that led to Ju-hyun realizing that the masked man used Kwon Seok-joo’s vacated house in his broadcast.

Tagging along with Ju-hyun, Min and Ji-hoon were advised to call for police help in case something goes wrong.

At the same time, Mu-chan gets his phone back and sees the messages from Ju-hyun. Just when Min worries for her sister who was in fact hit by a heavy object by someone, Mu-chan arrives.

The Killing Vote

“You and The Killing Vote. Don’t be mistaken. You’re not a hero. I’m going to catch you no matter what.”

Checking on Ju-hyun, he also chases after the cryptic man. However, he was able to escape. That lead the two to visit Seok-joo to inquire about the note found in the house regarding the 13th stab Seok-joo did to his daughter’s killer.

As Ju-hyun questions Seok-joo, she learns how Mu-chan might have been in a close relationship with Seok-joo in the past as the latter hints that Mu-chan is the only person that meets the MO of the masked man.

Unknown to them, a video of them escaping the car before it exploded was captured and aired by Gaetal who also made a surprise broadcast, convincing people they could not trust the police who wanted to defame him.

After visiting Seok-joo, the two faces camera flashes. Mu-chan boldly declares that Gaetal and the killing vote are not serving its true justice-serving intention. He promises to catch the culprit firmly.

Checking on Ju-hyun, he also chases after the cryptic man. However, he was able to escape.

Ju-hyun makes a diversion and brings Mu-chan to their home which did not sit well with Min.

The Killing Vote

“Once you read these letters, you’ll know why I’m doing this.”

Opening up about Professor Kwon’s statement about his relationship with Mu-chan, Ju-hyun learns how in the case of Professor Kwon’s daughter who was killed with 13 stabs, the evidence submitted was not able to support the prosecution’s claim.

Since Mu-chan led the investigation, he blames himself for that.

Meanwhile, Professor Kwon had a meeting with the warden and the officer assigned to him continues to abuse him. He even hit him relentlessly after meeting the warden.

At school, Ji-hoon notices their teacher Lee Min-soo staring at the school ground where a group of students is having their PE class. He particularly gazes at the legs of the young women.

Later, Ji-hoon peers at the same ground touching his ear subconsciously, revealing a similar action by Lee Min-soo. The latter is the son of Assemblywoman Lee who has an existing medical condition. His mother dotes on him to the extent that she takes care of his mess like an actress who was beaten by him.

Returning to the team, Mu-chan apologizes for his oversight. He meets the officer in charge of Professor Kwon and gets a proposal for a bunch of letters the professor receives from a person who sends a letter once a month signing it as No. 1 Fan. Exercising his authority, Mu-chan retrieves the letters citing the crime the officer just committed.

Mu-chan and Ju-hyun go back to the prison as the latter relays how some of the pages were missing in the letters which probably reveal the targets of the killing vote.

Professor Kwon confirms it but strikes a deal to get a special pardon so he will cooperate with the police force.

The Killing Vote

The Killing Vote Episode 3 and 4 Highlights

Tension rises as clues to the intention of Gaetal and possible suspects to who he really is are unveiled in the last two episodes of The Killing Vote.

Faint details to the direction of the narrative are also presented. Based on Ju-hyun’s data analysis, a possible cooperation of psychopaths who voluntarily take allegiance to Professor Kwon’s eye-for-an-eye deed happens. They could be conniving to execute the goal of the “killing vote”.

Characters introduced so far have a bit of intrigue to them which makes you vigilant for expected betrayals. Teacher Lee Min-soo appears to have continuously used his mother’s power in his wrongdoings. For all we know, the man Professor Kwon killed is actually not the culprit but took the fault on behalf of Min-soo.

Min-soo and his mother are quite potent mother-and-son villains that will give you the creeps, to be honest. It is far-fetched that Professor Kwon would cooperate with them but it is possible that they would reach out given how sick their minds are.

Episode 4 already marked the complete introduction of the characters we see in the poster. How they are related to Gaetal or if one of them really is the culprit will be unveiled inevitably.
