True To Love Episodes 3 and 4 Highlights

Previously, dating coach Bora saw her marriage future crashing fast when she saw her boyfriend kissing a woman right before her very eyes.

“It was the most tragic and humiliating moment in my life. To make matters worse, there was a witness who saw the whole thing.”

Realizing Bora witnessed his affair, Ju-wan still has the audacity to claim that it was just a mistake on his end. He tries to overturn the situation by making Bora untrusting of him.

From afar Su-hyeok figures the emotionally shattering moment just happened to Bora. He intended to hide when she realized their phones got switched, but she ends up finding him while hiding.

Genuinely showing concern, Bora rushes to get their phones back so she can go home.

Unable to process what just had happened, that she was obviously disregarded and was allowed to walk away, Bora wakes up to the painful reality of being betrayed by the man she was already building a future with.

“I’m sorry. There’s nothing more after that. I’m sorry has to be followed by it’s all my fault. I will never do it again. Please forgive me, you’re my one and only. I love you.”

Relaying to Yoo-jung her discovery, Bora remained calm until they accidentally eavesdrop on the conversation between Ju-wan and Jin-woo.

Ju-wan admits he does not feel any love anymore. Knowing that reconciling means marriage, he does not want to be in a relationship where he will feel like he’s on probation because he cheated.

True To Love

“Before my relationship fell apart, there were certain things that I had missed. What were those?”

Wallowing in heartbreak, Bora only got an “I’m sorry” text message. Her sister Bo-mi concerned about her situation texted Ju-wan who came.

Thinking she will get a proper apology; they end up engaging in an ugly fight.

Life must go on for Bora who has to attend a party organized by the magazine company where Yoo-jung works.

While waiting for her turn to give love advice, she, unfortunately, ends up consuming bottles of wine. Drunk, brokenhearted, and unhappy, she spills inexcusable remarks with all her heart.

To top it off, she spills and falls on the floor. Thankfully, Su-hyeok helps her out and carries her out of the place.

The aftermath of her drunk outburst made Bora the laughingstock of netizens. True to Ju-wan’s narcissistic attitude, he also advises the security team to watch out for Bora in case she will cause problems in the office.

Despite issuing a public apology, Bora is still condemned and a bleak future awaits her.

“It’s good manners to forget someone who left you.”

Meanwhile, Su-hyeok is also struggling to move on from breaking up with Yu-ri. Even with Sang-jin’s convincing that she’s already happy with someone.

If not for seeing with his own eyes that she’s indeed in a new relationship, he would still hope for them to get back together.

The next day, both Su-hyeok and Bora continue their lives amidst the heartache. But they end up remembering the pain even more.

While on a bus, Bora pours her heart out. Coincidentally, Su-hyeok sees her braving her pain not minding how she looks and what people will say.

True To Love Episodes 3 and 4 Musings

The hardest phase after a relationship breakup begins to be explored in this week’s episodes of True To Love. Barely mustering her emotional strength, the unfaithfulness of her long-time boyfriend hit Bora hard because of her uncompromising expectations.

Adding to that, her confidence that she’s done everything well in the relationship does not warrant her partner to even consider swaying. Her relationship with Ju-wan while appearing to look perfect has failed in many aspects.

Among those love and honesty as the foundation of their relationship were obviously weak. Moreover, both are complacent about each other’s position in their lives that they missed crucial times before the relationship fell apart.

For Bora, she failed to recognize the piling of small red flags. Meanwhile, instead of ending the relationship right, Ju-wan opted to cheat.

Highlighting the verbal confrontation of the two with that “we are both garbage” scene was such a bold and realistic presentation of how couples tackle the inevitable end of the relationship.

You see there’s a pre-5-stages-of-grief that couples have to go through before calling it quits. Afterward, individual runs proceed.

While Bora takes center stage this week, the story is also building up her connection to Su-hyeok who is also nursing his broken heart. These episodes also shed light on how different the routes women and men take after a breakup are.

Can Bora pick her broken pieces up on her own or will someone help her?
