Light and fluffy like our furry friends, A Good Day To Be A Dog can be a relaxing drama experience if you need one.
However, set your expectations that there are frustrating parts along the way. Shown once a week when it was airing, it made the pace more languid than necessary. Fortunately, if you are going to start it soon, at least you would barely notice its languid pacing.

A Good Day To Be A Dog Episode 12 to 14 Quick Recap
Teacher Lee aka the Mountain God moves to his spiteful revenge and removes Hae-na’s memories of Seo-won.
The latter tries to win her back but his I Like You confession was not returned. Noticing something odd in her life, Hae-na later learns why her heart and mind are not in sync when it comes to Seo-won through Ji-a’s lead. Her ability has had her keep her memories.
Ji-a also clarifies with Teacher Lee that her past self was not killed by Seo-won’s past self. She had to make that sacrifice for Hae-na who was carrying a child.
Returning everything in place, Hae-na and Seo-won were freed from Teacher Lee’s wrath.
All along they thought their relationship was a secret, but the faculty members knew about it.
A Good Day To Be A Dog Quick Series Recap
Han Hae-na is a typical teacher but carries a strange secret. Her family can turn into a dog if kissed by someone and does not get kissed again in 100 days.
She accidentally kisses her co-teacher Jin Seo-won. From there she embarks on a journey for them to have another liplock or risk being a dog forever.
Unknown to her, the cryptic curse originated from her past life. Aside from battling exposure when one of Seo-won’s old acquaintances tried to make her family situation public, she also endures the unreasonable wrath of the giver of the curse.
A Good Day To Be A Dog Highlights, Drawbacks and Musings
Synonymous with what pet dogs can bring, A Good Day To Be A Dog is a good companion if you want a chill watch with sprinkled romantic moments. But it can be frustrating for people who prefer quick-moving stories. Nevertheless, since all episodes are out, prospective viewers can at least watch it in one go. Because watching it while it was airing was honestly a test of patience.
To be honest, this series has a lot of disconnected situations and clues. But viewers can overlook it since focusing on the romantic development weighs more.
Additionally, since the world has grown more engaged with owning pets, the series subtly conveys loyalty to a relationship and love for our family.
Life lessons that are timely in modern times
Following the usual trademark elements of Korean rom-com, A Good Day To Be A Dog charmed with abundant saccharine scenes. Especially in the early goings when the curse was in place.
It also shares consoling messages about the importance of being able to open up our emotions and valuing the trust someone gives to us. Hae-na and Seo-won have become each other’s solace, one having a trauma while the other worries about a strange family curse.
Hae-na’s predicament of feeling apprehensive owing to her secret identity somehow sheds light on how people opt to think little of themselves because of a weakness or a quality that is not deemed normal. Liberating herself from that woe encourages us never to feel undeserving of someone’s love.
Teacher Lee/Mountain God represents the idea that holding a grudge can only lead to loneliness. His story was saddening and thankfully through Ji-a at least viewers can forgive what he’s done. Hopefully, through his story, we can all learn that revenge does not emancipate someone from pain.
