Park Seo Joon and IU shared mixed emotions about their experiences throughout the filming of the anticipated film, Dream.
K-Drama fans are also excited to see Park Seo Joon and IU together for the film since the announcement of their pairing. They are working together with a versatile director, Lee Byung Hun, who has been expanding his career portfolio recently.
He also worked on the blockbuster movie, Extreme Job, and other projects such as Be Melodramatic and Twenty. In addition, he has two more upcoming films to be released besides Dream.
Dream is an inspirational film following the story of a professional soccer player, Yoon Hongdae (Park Seo Joon), under disciplinary probation. He then becomes the coach of a team challenging the ‘Homeless World Cup’ consisting of soccer players with different pains and pasts.
A passionate director, Lee So Min (IU), dreams of producing a successful documentary film. She chooses to feature the journey of Yoon Hongdae and his team in finding trust.
After finishing filming last April 13, despite the pandemic, Director Lee said, “It is the result of a long effort to travel abroad. And I am very grateful and proud of the actors and staff who endured the process together.”
“We will work hard to complete the rest of the second half so that the message we wanted to convey through this film can be conveyed to the audience,” expressing his excitement for releasing the film.
On the other hand, Park stated, “It’s a pity that it’s going to end. But I’m really grateful that I could finish the shooting safely. I hope the audience will love it a lot.”
Lastly, IU, who will portray a TV director So-min has only warm words for her experience.
“It was my first feature film shooting. It has accumulated more memories than any other work, so I think it will remain in my memory for a long time. It was a good time for me personally as I felt bright and light when I was acting as So-min. I hope that the audience will be able to laugh a lot with Dream and feel its heartwarming message.”
