Treating her fans to many surprises at her recent fan meeting, Kim Go Eun invited several guests to celebrate the occasion.
On October 16, Kim Go Eun‘s 10th-anniversary fan meeting, KIM GO EUN: come in closer, was held at the Yes 24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. She met with fans from all over the world, physically and virtually.
Kim kicks off the fan meeting by singing Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One,” and “Dark Hearts Will Pass Away Tonight” from the OST of Yumi’s Cell’s 2.
The event was hosted by Park Kyung Rim, who started the fan meeting with the “Kim Go Eun’s cells” segment. It revealed behind-the-scenes photos during the preparation of the fan meeting that made fans’ hearts and faces smile.
In addition, Gong Yoo, Rose, Lee Min Ho, Lee Sang Eun, Woo Do Hwan, Park Jung Min, and Jung Hae In made a surprise appearance in the video letter showcasing “Kim Go-eun’s Human Network Cell.”
Furthermore, Lee Ji Ah (The Penthouse) entered the stage and discussed their first encounters while visiting the United States.
Next, Ahn Eun Jin and Lee Sang Eui, who went to the same university as the actress shared knowledge in the corner revealing trivia and stories about Kim Go Eun. They earned laughter as they mimic Kim Shin and Ji Eun-tak of Goblin.
Additionally, they shared stories from Kim’s school days that were kept private and revealed her talents and shortcomings, setting a warm environment and displaying their chemistry as “strong friends.”
Following this, Kim danced to New Jean’s “Hype Boy” which had gotten the most fan requests. The actress danced shyly yet sweetly, evoking loud cheers from the audience.
Nostalgic Memories + Interaction with Fans
The actress also recalls her humble beginnings in the “Go Eun’s Character Album” segment. Kim Go-first eun’s movie, Eungyo, served as the starting point for director Jung Ji Woo’s career. Jung then made an appearance and gave Kim a heartfelt message.
In the “Yumi’s Cells” section, Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Jinyoung, who starred in seasons 1 and 2, changed the role of farewell scenes for each season in Yumi’s Cells, and played a situational play, while playing a game of “Shouting in Silence.”
In the ensuing “Go Eun Quiz Time,” Kim interacts with her fans in a “Speak with Body” game and a quiz match. Furthermore, Park Ji Hu, who plays Oh In-hye, surprises Kim with a quiz that recreates the famous scene with her youngest sister in Little Women.
Finally, Kim, gets emotional after watching video letters prepared by fans and the songs commemorating the 10th anniversary of her debut. The actress expresses,
“The process of preparing for the fan meeting was not easy, but I was happy to prepare for it, and I thought I should create opportunities to meet my fans more often after I meet them like this. I have nothing to say but thank you. Looking at the face of the character I’ve been in charge of for 10 years, I thought I’ve changed a lot on my own, but because there are people who support me and love me, I’ve grown as much as I have, and I’ve been able to greet you with a good work. I will be an actress who always grows up and works hard in the future.”
