You Complete Me Episodes 7 & 8 Peak Points

“What if Mr. Wan has depression?”

Delivering an offer on behalf of Most Sky, Gao Shan tells Manager Wan’s wife to be rational and accept the company’s offer. But it was initially refused with Lin Wo blaming the company for pushing Manager Wan’s suicide.

Left with no choice, Gao Shan reveals his manager’s mental health condition which surprised Manager Wan’s wife. She further blames herself for not being a proper support system and pushing him to more than what he can do.

Assuring Mrs. Wan that everything will be okay under law, Gao Shan explains their options are futile since Most Sky is represented by an impressive law firm and the case might even drag for years.

Understanding the scenario, Lin Wo still encourages Mrs. Wan not to give up. To which the latter agrees citing all his husband’s hard work. He leaves the check but Lin Wo returns it to him.

“Find out the person who really leaked the bid price.”

Nana and Lin Wo agree to take turns in helping Mrs. Wan man the hospital so Nana go back home first. Outside Su Yuan was waiting and offers to drive her home.

Urging him to focus on the pressing concern, she tips him on looking for the person who leaked the bid price. She also suggests another clue of finding the person who was helping Manager Wan collate the data to help with his mission.

Inspired by Nana calling him a “good boy”, he promises to take care of Lin Wo.

“What on earth is going about Lin Wo?”

The next day, Lin Wo stages a protest which put Most Sky on a bad light. But her one-man picket was halted and she was taken by unknown men inside a car where she meets his father’s trusted secretary.

Refusing to go back home and any help from her father, she marches out of the car to eat lunch with Deng Li.

Over lunch, they stumble on the identity of the man who probably leaked the bid price. It is pointing out to Gao Shan, but Lin Wo hesitates.

Bumping on Su Yuan, they follow Gao Shan who drives to his apartment area. There he meets Sun Li, who also resides in the upscale apartment complex.

Knowing they will both suffer once their connivance is revealed, Gao Shan tells Sun Li to be honest in their cooperation. Meanwhile, the eavesdropping duo plan on how to bring out how Gao Shan and Sun Li colluded.

To get to know more about their common enemy, they ask Nana about details on Gao Shan. But they can only deduce little information that are not at all useful.

Remembering Gao Shan’s forbidden wall, Lin Wo tells Su Yuan that they could find something at Gao Shan’s house. They set forth to get the information they need not knowing that Nana is following their lead.

“If you didn’t do it, explain it to me.”

Su Yuan successfully leads Gao Shan back at his place for work and lets Lin Wo enter his place to get to his forbidden wall.

But Nana arrives in an awkward situation seeing Su Yuan lies on Gao Shan’s bed topless. Reaching the room where she saw the wall, Lin Woo sees it to be a painting.

Blurting out their suspicion about him because of all the circumstances, Gao Shan is furious for being judged without firm evidence.

Lim Wo tries to coax him to explain. But he asks her to leave. Cornering him of such a mindless act he helped colluded might destroy people’s lives, he burst in anger and tells her how no one cared about him when his life was destroyed.

He asks her to leave as Nana and Su Yuan follow. Outside, Nana tells her that she will tell everything she knows about Gao Shan.

“It’s okay if you don’t know him, I’ll introduce him.”

The result of monitoring Gao Shan’s dubious actions led to Su Yuan and Lin Wo discovering the fraudster Mr. Zhao meeting him. She drags Mr. Zhao to Most Sky but she is no match to the combined shrewdness of the two who overturned the situation.

They even secure a concrete evidence that will leave no way for Manager Wan to escape his already tight situation.

Sun Li and Gao Shan had another bout of verbal spat since the cunning senior did not keep his promise about not withholding information.

Needing money for Director Wan’s operation, Lin Wo seeks her father for help and was forced by his secretary to sign an agreement that she will be working at his father’s company.

Gao Shan furtively tips Lin Wo to use public sentiments through viral social media news in fighting Most Sky. Proposing it to Nana, the latter is quite hesitant to proceed with her suggestion.

You Complete Me Episodes 7 & 8 Musings

I know we all have the same “what’s the deal about Gao Shan” question. For followers of You Complete Me, I’m sure a little google browsing and the publicly released drama information of its revenge plot is now being integrated.

I want to chide Gao Shan, but I want to see the big picture of his plan. Of course, I am hoping that through the “power of love” he would forget about his revenge plan.

As I don’t frequently recap C-dramas, it is still honestly a struggle to do it by two episodes. Especially since this series swiftly moves. So, for my next recaps, I think I will cover four episodes or more depending on its trajectory.

Right now, because of the above mentioned concern, I can’t draw much thoughts because of the limited moments that I can highlight in just two episodes.

What I am liking in the series so far is its stunning and talented female lead, Qiao Xin. Going together with Hu Yitian and I know the romance, whether there will be highs or lows, would be engrossing.

As previously mentioned, the workplace setting of the series also engaged me since it is not the typical boring office-set dramas I’ve seen before. I love the dynamic career setbacks so far displayed, which match the varying facets of emotions Lin Wo and Gao Shan has so far portrayed.
