Luo Zheng and Ji Meihan Collaborates For The Third Time In “You From The Future”

You From The Future

As summer draws to an end, iQIYI brings in a sweet spectacle in the Chinese-style sci-fi drama You From The Future.

You From The Future begin to air on 4 August, bringing you a refreshing take on the genre. The drama marks the third collaboration between the lead pairing, Luo Zheng (罗正) and Ji Meihan (季美含), which is well anticipated by all!

Following high school romance drama Make My Heart Smile (扑通扑通喜欢你) and costume romance drama Oh My Lord (惹不起的千岁大人), You from the Future is the third time Luo Zheng and Ji Meihan are co-starring in a drama together.

From the sweet, youthful love in the campus drama to intense love in the ancient costume drama, you’ll be surprised by the unique two-dimensional love in this drama as the chemistry between the two is absolutely commendable.

Known for his domineering CEO persona, Luo Zheng previously participated in talent variety show Idol Producer (偶像练习生) in 2018 where he made his official debut. As iQIYI’s international VIP ambassador, he gained popularity through many well-known titles such as Skip a Beat (心跳), Time to Fall in Love (终于轮到我恋爱了), Perfect Mismatch (骑着鱼的猫) and other romance dramas, as many fans favored his handsome and big boss image.

Meanwhile, Ji Meihan is deeply loved by many audiences for her image of the sweet lovely girl in the youthful romance dramas Miss Ye in Wonderland (千金太嚣张) and Silent Love (喵不可言). Who wouldn’t love to witness the collaboration between such a handsome man and a beautiful lady!

Another actor worth looking forward to is Yang Ze (杨泽), who plays the role of a cute AI brother Xingguang in the drama, who is also the wingman of the male and female protagonists. He once starred in The Killer is also Romantic (念念无明) and Time to Fall in Love (终于轮到我恋爱了) – let us look forward to the wonderful performance of this new actor!

You From The Future

In You From The Future, the cold CEO who is keen on AI research and the editor who is immersed in traditional Hanfu culture originally would not have crossed paths, but they accidentally became work partners. The integration of modern artificial intelligence technology with traditional Chinese culture is one of the highlights of this new sci-fi series.

The narrative presents the relationship between the male and female protagonists, from when they first started disliking each other to falling for each other while pursuing dreams and love at the same time, rather than the typical plot of “marriage first, love later” or “love at first sight”.

The drama also recognizes minority groups through micro-expressions and sign language in the drama, which allows the audience to better understand people with disabilities while creating a warmer and more comfortable environment for them to better integrate into society.

Whether you favor science fiction or sweet romantic dramas, this drama is a must-watch!

You From The Future premieres on August 4 and will run for 24 epsiodes.
