In addition, Lee Joon also has to get out of his comfort zone to perfectly transform as Ok Eul Tae. He continue, “It was awkward because hairstyles and costumes are not usually done, but I boldly challenged it because it seemed to fit well with a character of Ok Eul Tae.”

With that, the actor also revealed that he is “extremely happy to challenge various subjects and creative works” with being part of the series.

Dan Sol

On the other hand, portraying the wife of Dan Hwal (Lee Jin Wook) 600 years ago is Gong Seung Yeon as Dan Sol. The actress said, “In one word, there are not many storylines and characters that appear in different periods in different ways. It is so fresh and new that the story is based on the intertwined relationships of the past. It is also based on the different purposes and destinies of the characters.”

“I also thought it was a piece that could show a variety of images to the public. It was a script that had to be different from the acting I had done as an actor,” on why she accepted the role.

Gong Seung Yeon also described her character in detail. “Dan Sol has been alone because of her different appearance and ability from others. Because of this loneliness, she has a great desire for the warmth of his family. She wants to have a family, and they want stability through that family. She was very firm and strong on the outside because of the loneliness she had to endure alone. However, deep inside are full of pain and wounds.”

“I thought it was too important to express the sorrow and pain hidden behind her toughness with restrained acting. So I fully talked to the director in advance. And I think I was able to perform the role safely thanks to the delicate direction of the director,” the actress shared on her preparation for Dan Sol.

The actress also revealed that is “not familiar with Korean cultural artifacts.” That is why she looked for a lot of creatures that existed in Korea while looking at the script.

“There were some parts that I had indirectly encountered through the media or various folktales, although I didn’t pay attention. So viewers may be unfamiliar with “Korean Treasures.” But I think you will be able to feel familiar charm when you watch the broadcast.”

“Kim Woo Seok was a vitamin-like thing on the set. He was the character of Nam Do Yoon himself.” Lastly, they invite viewers to watch the series, “There are many diverse and attractive characters based on the past and the present 600 years ago. I think you can enjoy it more if you look at what kind of relationship each person will be involved in.”
