Netflix Confirms Powerful Cast Lineup For Revenge Drama “The Glory”

With its confirmed production, The Glory introduces its cast led by Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, and more!

Director Ahn Gil Ho, known for his works Happiness, Record of Youth, and Memories of the Alhambra and writer Kim Eun Sook, famous for her romance dramas The King: Eternal Monarch, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and The Heirs, has collaborated for this production, which raises anticipation to its release.

The upcoming drama follows the story of a woman who was tormented by violence as a child and returns back as an adult for her revenge. Desperate for this plan, her lifelong preparation for this vengeance pulls down the people around her.

In talks of its casting lineup, the captivating performances of Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Im Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Yeom Hye Ran, and Jung Sung Il can be expected.

Reunited with writer Kim Eun Sook, actress Song Hye Kyo, who has been at the top for her in-depth acting in Now We are Breaking Up, Descendants of the Sun, and Encounter plays the role Moon Dong-eun in the upcoming drama The Glory

Her character, a victim of school violence, delicately plans her revenge for both the perpetrator and the bystander. 

The actress’ unconventional transformation for her character Moon Dong-eun, who is fueled with anger and hatred raises expectations.

Garnering attention for his impressive performances in Sweet Home, Youth of May, and Melancholia, actor Lee Do-hyun takes on the role of Joo Yeo-jung. Having a complex inner self, Lee Do Hyun’s portrayal of Joo Yeo-jung, who hides behind his bright appearance, could be looked forward to.

Perpetrators and Bystanders of School Violence

Portraying a diverse set of characters in her past projects Rose Mansion, Welcome 2 Life, and High Society actress Im Ji Yeon plays Park Yeon-jin, the lead initiator of school violence in the past.

Now living a seemingly perfect life, her past shadows catch up with her, and she fights to protect the things that are precious to her.

Aiding in the school violence initiated by Park Yeon-jin, actor Park Sung Hoon’s character Jeon Jae-joon has taken part in destroying Dong-eun’s life. The actor, who has previously shown his talent in his dramas Psychopath Diary, Justice, and My Only One, plays a character that lives his own way, deluded in family wealth.

With outstanding presence and character portrayal in The Uncanny Counter, When the Camellia Blooms, and Live, actress Yeom Hye Ran takes on the role of Kang Hyun-nam, another victim of violence. She protects her child and connects with Moon Dong-eun while cutting off the relentless domestic violence she faces.

Jung Sung Il who takes on the role of Ha Do-young, the husband of Park Yeon-jin in the upcoming drama, has shown his lively performance in Moonshine, Bad and Crazy, and Birthcare Center.

Being a CEO and husband to his wife, his character faces Pandora’s box that threatens his family’s peace, and entraps them in the long-planned revenge of Dong-eun.

Entangled in the revenge that Dong-eun has carefully prepared for a long time,  tragedy awaits the people in the past, which gathers attention and raises expectations for the upcoming drama.
