More premium Korean films and dramas with award-winning artists are now available in iQiyi’s Korean collection!
New Korean collections with a stellar lineup are set to be available in iQiyi such as Lost, Yumi’s Cells, The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim, The Devil Judge, The Road: The Tragedy Of One, High Class, and Hometown.
Viewers from iQiyi shall also expect to see more shows from Kang Ha Neul, EXO’s Park Chan Yeol and Kim SeoHyung!
The success of My Roommate Is A Gumiho, which is iQiyi’s first Korean original leads to the announcement of the release of seven more original and exclusive Korean films and series. Moreover, a collection of critically-acclaimed tvN films shall also be made available for international streaming.
Among the tvN films that will be available in iQiyi starting this month includes Kim Ji Young, Born 1982 starring Jung Yoo-mi and Gong Yoo; On Your Wedding Day starring Park Bo-young and Kim YoungKwang; and By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture, A Werewolf Boy, Coin Locker Girl, Door Lock, Inside Men, A Frozen Flower, Silenced.
In addition, the Korean films that will also be available on iQiyi are The Box which stars EXO’s Chanyeol, Waiting For Rain featuring Baeksang Arts Awards Best Actor Kang Ha Neul, and Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming, a classic Korean horror remake.
The Devil Judge

Set in a fictional time and space, a courtroom becomes a reality show where everyone can participate in the trial process through live broadcasts. Ji Sung’s character in the drama portrays a known judge who punishes immoral people, and strongly vouches for the “citizen trial system.”

Lost

Realizing that they have nothing accomplished in life, Lost is set to tell the story of a group of ordinary men and women who strive to escape the darkest bottom of their lives.
Full of stress and anxiety in life, Bu-jeong (Jeon Do Yeon) is a ghostwriter who meets a young man named Kang-jae (Ryu Jun Yeol) who has lost his direction in life and keeps getting entangled with danger because of his pursuit of wealth. With an uncertain future ahead, two people heal each other while escaping their period of darkness.
The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim

Starring Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum, who started as child actors, The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim is a campus fantasy series where they fight scary malicious spirits together.
Kim Sae Ron acts as an exorcist as her character has the qualities of a shaman. She is also a brave and straightforward senior high student that longs for a normal life, but couldn’t attain it.
Meanwhile, Nam Da Reum is the campus cutie who can see malicious spirits. A mysterious incident brings them together and from there a series of thrilling adventures begin.
Yumi’s Cells

An adaptation from a well-known webtoon with the same title, Yumi (Kim Go-Eun) is an ordinary office worker and the female lead of the series.
In the drama, Yumi’s brain cells are personified. After a handsome smart man appears, the love cells that previously fell into a coma become lively again. The male lead of the series, Goo Woong, is portrayed by Ahn Bo Hyun from Itaewon Class.
GOT7’s Jinyoung will also appear in the drama as Yumi’s second boyfriend Ba-bi. SHINee’s Min-ho shall also be seen in the drama with a cameo role as Yumi’s warmhearted junior in the office.
The Road: The Tragedy Of One

Set in a place where the top one percent of the upper class of South Korea are gathered, the series visualizes the scandal and tragedy that occurred in “Royal The Hill”. With a great sense of journalistic duty, Baek Soo-hyeon (Ji Jin-hee) portrays a trusted anchor who also has a hidden cold-blooded side.
Alongside him is his wife Seo Eun Soo (portrayed by Yoon Se-ah) who is ready to wage everything just to protect their family. Moreover, another broadcaster (Kim Hye-eun) in the News Bureau who is greedy becomes also involved in the tragedy. Suspense shall be expected as a tragic incident on a rainy night leads to another tragedy.
High Class

Appearing to have a perfect life, High Class is set to expose the lies, secrets, mysteries, suspense, and hypocrisy of the 0.1% of Korean women.
Song Yeo-wool (Cho Yeo Jeong) loses everything overnight as she is suspected of murdering her husband. She is a lawyer, and in an attempt to protect her daughter, she heads to the elite school where her daughter is studying at.
However, despite that move, she faces intense judgment from society and bad rumors spread.
Hometown

In a small city in 1999, a serial murder occurs, and detective Choi Hyung-in (Yoo Jae Myung) investigates the incident.
In search of her missing niece, Jo Jung-hyun (Han Ye Ri) joins hands with Hyung-in and faces Cho Kyung-ho (Um Tae-goo), a terrorist. Together, they unveil the secrets of the incident in this suspense thriller.
The Box

A pair of music lovers unite together as they both have a passion for music. EXO’s Park Chanyeol portrays Ji-hoon, an enthusiastic and aspiring singer that has stage phobia. Whenever faced with a crowd, he can only showcase his talent by hiding in a box.
He meets a poor music producer (Jo Dal-hwan) and they set forth on a journey of a musical performance featuring youth and dreams. They may have 99 things out of 100 that they don’t agree on, but they come together for their love of music.
A music bus tour through South Korea featuring covers of songs of Billie Elish, Cold Play, Mariah Carey, and Pharrell Williams are to be expected in the movie.
Waiting For Rain

Failing to get into college multiple times, Young Ho (Kang Ha Neul) wanders in life aimlessly until he decides to write a letter to his old classmate So Hee (Cheon Woo Hee) from elementary school.
Ever since she gave up college, So Hee runs the small used bookshop with her mother. As the two begin to exchange letters, they find enthusiasm and solace in their lives.
So Hee has requested Young Ho to never meet or visit her, but as the letters pile up, Young Ho suggests meeting on a rainy night on December 31. In a winter season that doesn’t rain, Young Ho waits for So Hee even though there is a possibility she would not come to their meeting place.
Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming

Whispering Corridors has been a classic Korean horror film series. Eun-hee (Kim Seo Hyung) gets appointed as the Vice-Principal of her alma mater even after losing her memories in high school. She returns to her alma mater, but she is tormented with visual and auditory hallucinations.
Ha Young, a student in the school, gets possessed after hearing ghosts in the closed bathroom of the school. There, she meets Eun-hee, and they realize that they have the same struggles.
Joining together, they uncover various strange incidents that happened in campus related to the existence of the bathroom. Soon, they feel the fear of death which gradually opens up the shocking truth from their long-lost memories.
