“A Good Day To Be a Dog” Decks October Airing on MBC

Cha Eun Woo, Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo lead the new once a week series on MBC.

Based on a popular webtoon A Good Day To Be a Dog (LT) tells the story of a woman suffering a cryptic curse and a man who can break that curse.

The romance fantasy drama taps Park Gyu Young (Celebrity) as Han Hae-na, a woman who is cursed to turn into a dog when kissed. Opposite her is Cha Eun Woo (Island, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung) as Jin Seo-won, a man who has the key to break the curse but is afraid of dogs.

In the role of Lee Bo-gyum, who hides a cool mystery behind a friendly smile is Lee Hyun Woo (Money Heist Korea).

It is based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name, which was greatly loved by readers for its novel concept and engrossing narrative.

This is not the first time that MBC has launched a drama program set for once-a-week airing. The Korean version of the original SF anthology series SF8, which transcends the genre of movies and dramas, has been organized the same, and last year, the rural mystery drama Hunted aired on Mondays and was well-received for its dense story.

An MBC official said, “MBC has led the Korean drama trend with flexible programming and experimental stories. A Good Day To Be a Dog is a refreshing romantic comedy with a charm suitable for attracting viewers on weeknights. In the future, we will continue to make efforts to expand viewers’ choice of content as well as provide a variety of attractive stories.

Filming for the series was completed in April. It is in post-production to meet viewers in October.
