KBS2 TV’s newest Monday-Tuesday drama stops at nothing in orienting viewers with what’s in store for the series.
Rolling out new teasers, Heartbeat has released the group poster and character posters of Ok Taecyeon, Won Ji An, Park Kang Hyun and Yoon So Hee.
Heartbeat foretells the cohabitation story between a half-human-half-vampire and a recluse woman who somehow starts living together and finds true warmth.
“Heartbeat” Captures Quirky First Meeting Between Ok Taecyeon and Won Ji An
Ok Taecyeon portrays Seon Woo-hyul, a trendsetter who ensures he’s the first to try novelty items that come into the land as soon as it becomes available. He is also desperate to become a human.
Meanwhile, suiting up to the role of Joo In-hae is rising actress Won Ji An. Joo In-hae, a part-time health teacher and guest house owner, is sketched as a cold-blooded human. She finally becomes a person with humanity after meeting Seon Woo-hyul.
Shin Do-shik, played by Park Kang Hyun, is a real estate developer and CEO of the company “Refresh”. Unlike his urban appearance, he is a charming person who is easy-going and considerate. In particular, he will form a love triangle with Woo-hyul and In-hae, providing dramatic tension and fun.
Yoon So Hee takes on the role of Na Hae-won, a real estate investor with a beautiful and glamorous appearance. She resembles Yoon Hae-seon of the Joseon Dynasty, who was loved by half-human vampire Woo-hyul, and is a character who will lead the drama excitingly with a dual role.
In the group poster released, the four characters are shown with corresponding items that give clues to their stories. They also wear black costumes adorned with red props alluding to dependent yet lethal romantic stories.
4 Interwoven Lives
The four main actors exude an intense atmosphere. Unlike Ok Taecyeon and Won Jian looking at the front, Park Kang Hyun and Yoon So Hee gaze at them creating contrast and anticipation to what their intertwining story would be.
In the character poster, Ok Taecyeon puts an intense red handkerchief on his chest and says, “My heart has never beat.” Won Ji An, who wears a red scarf around her neck, gives an unusual impact with the phrase “I won’t bleed even if you bite me,” raising expectations for what blood-drying cohabitation will look like.
Meanwhile, Park Kang Hyun is holding a wine glass containing red wine with a meaningful phrase, “To escape from this fate, you must eat that blood“, arousing curiosity about whose blood it is that was poured into the glass.
Yoon So Hee holds her red compact powder exuding her subtle aura as if to symbolize her outward appearance. The phrase “Do you think she resembles me?” adds curiosity to the dual roles she will present and foreshadows the exciting story of each character that will unfold in the future.
Regarding the poster, the production team relays the relationship and narrative between the four entangled characters will be drawn in an exciting way.
Heartbeat premieres on June 26 on KBS2!
